No Suzuki, No Sato?

Recommended Posts

The ambitious plans of Aguri Suzuki to enter a team in the 2006 Formula One World Championship appear to be at an end after F1's governing body, the FIA, released the official entry list for next season

Hopefully Sato is out of F1. A pre-emptive  is in order! It would seem that Sato should have signed for Midland, Alex Shnaider in his wisdom, did approach the hapless Japanese marketing prop but Sato turned him down

Honda absolutely shold have signed Sato to Midland but they have never made very good decisions, have they?

Not since their return, no.

Does this mean we have seen the end of ole' Takuma Sato's days in F1?\

it would appear that sato is out of f1 for 2006. apparently it requires the agreement of all the teams for saf1 to be granted entry now. with sato as one of their drivers i can't see m$ for one allowing it to happen. but then again it could be above his level. i also can't see why super aguri would splash out on arrows gear if they wouldn't front up the money for the bond. odd.

On performance grounds I don't think anyone is at all worried about a team with three-year old chassis and Takuma Sato behind the wheel but on safety grounds, I think you'll see unanimous opposition to the team's late addition to the roster.

I care more about the on-screen show of f1 more than the safety of the drivers, largely because I know that sato in an old arrows wouldnt actually be dangerous. He'd surely be more dangerous in a fast BAR

As long as a car has a pointy end Sato is a hazard...............

who cares? there have been much worse drivers! bigger grid means more cars on track, more to talk about, you're all weird!

Having cars puttering around 7 seconds off the pace is dangerous, hence the 107% rule, and especially so when they are piloted by kamikazis like Sato... Think about it.

I doubt they'd be 7 seconds slower and if there was an safety issue they'd be banned. But I'd still much rather have 22 cars!
