Renault F1 president Patrick Faure has admitted his disappointment at the loss of world champion Fernando Alonso to McLaren in 2007.

But the Frenchman, who has overseen Renault's rise to double-world championship glory this year, added that he understood Alonso's motivation for moving on.

so, who is leaving Mclaren to make room. not a very good move by McLaren to have Alonso and Kimi on the same team, thats one team you really cant have team orders in and in the end i suspect that it will hurt both drivers when it comes right down to it

so, where does that leave Kimi, ferrari might be open but you never know about the whole Valintino Rossi story. would be great to have him in f1 though. if he won a WDC he would have one on 2 and 4 wheels and if he won it a second time but on the last lap he lost a tyre he would have won it on 2 wheels 4 wheels and 3 wheels

But can he do it on a unicycle? Thats the question. As you say perhaps the rumours linking KR to Ferrari are true. I don't think Rossi (or anyone save Alonso and Schumi, who are likely to be otherwise engaged) would be able to compete for the seat if Kimi were available. It would be great to see FA and KR at Mclaren together like Prost and Senna! Although it woundn't be too bad to have Monty and Alonso together - we'd have the consolation of Monty being pummelled at least three years in a row.

I know I know, but Alonso's move has some serious ramifications for the rest of the grid, with alot of driver's potentially moving teams.
