Totally agree.

Also, I would like to see a review of the super license after a drivers first year in f1. That would have booted Sato back to a lower (presumably Japanese) category and out of our lifes.

Naturally, all buttons would be banned and in fact the new regulations would limit the number of forward gears to 1 so as to remove the need for shifting paddles.

Basically, we would need to reach the point where Jock Clear physically drives the car for Sato instead of just telling him how to drive.

If he was Japanese, Honda would be seriously considering him to fill the berth at Super Aguri.

I hope those of you who argue in favour of letting the menace that is Takuma Sato race can sleep easily at night knowing that, should he race again, you will be responsible for endangering the lives of countless marshals, drivers and spectators. Furthermore you will do untold ecomomic damage, especially to the poorer countries who use their GP's to encourage tourism and global awareness of their countries, by making these events too dangerous to attend. Hence in reality you are disgracefully putting your own cruel desire to belittle the diminutive Japanese above the plight of the poor and oppressed around the world. I only hope God has mercy on your souls because the political prisoners in China, say, may not be so merciful given the chance.

Thats quite possibly the stupidest post I've ever read

Murray, Send me some of those drugs your on. :D Sato driving a car on a race track is going to be the downfall of countries or he will be killing marshals, drivers and/or spectators. The guy is not going to get insurance discounts for his driving record, but killing people and causing economic damage to countries.

That is a very long stretch!!!

and where the heck did political prisoners in China come from ???

IMHO of course, you can think and say what you want, I will still drool in my sleep

:nono1: I find your lack of concern disgraceful. It is certainly not shared by Jarno Trulli who says of Sato: "I think we have a very dangerous person on the track," he said. "I am not going to speak to him, what's the point, it makes no difference. I think the federation must do something." Nor by DC who says about Monaco 04: "Obviously I was very worried when Fisichella flew over me and his car landed upside down - we were lucky not to have a more serious accident". Schumacher, no stranger to controversy himself, has also said Sato plumbs new depths of recklessness, eg in Belgium this year:

If you listen to Murrary Sato is going to bring a end to the world. Drivers like Ralf have been in alot more serious accidents than Sato and both Ralf and Villeneuve have both been in accidents which have killed a marshall so why is it that you are not calling for their Super licence to be revoked. Sato has only been involved in 1 serios accident since he entered F1. I can think of quite afew drivers who have been involved in alot more than that. Accidents are apart of F1 and if you ban everyone who has the occasional accident then there would be no one in formula 1.

sato has only been in 1 serious accident - austria 02. As we know, it wasnt his fault. Murray Walker stop being such an idiot. How many times does it have to be said that Monaco 04 was the fault of BAR, not sato's driving. You talk about recent fatalitities Murray - Australia 01 Ralf hit JV and a wheel killed a marshall. Should ralf be banned from f1? And the accidnet at monza 2000 when a marshall was killed. Should drivers be banned? Of course not you pillock now come back down to earth where people have more than 7 brain cells

ANY driver runs the risk of killing marshalls on the track, not JUST Sato.

Quite so AR5. However in the opinion of any self-respecting F1 fan and DC, JT, MS and many others, Sato poses a far greater risk. Also he brings far less to F1 than any other driver. Hence he is an unreasonable and completely unnecessary risk.

So you suggest we wait for one of his innumerable "hara-kiri" moments to result in a serious accident before we take action? Disgraceful. :nono1:

If there really was a safety issue I'm sure the FIA would address it, or give him a warning or something. The fact is there is no danger and you're just talking out your arse.

He has already been warned many times and indeed disqualified for reckless driving. The idea that someone who causes innumerable "hara-kiri" incidents and needs "therapy" (according to the greatest driver of the modern era) in F1 is not dangerous is ridiculous. Remember people still die in F1. You also presumably think JT is talking rubbish when he says "I think we have a very dangerous person on the track," and "I am not going to speak to him, what's the point, it makes no difference. I think the federation must do something."

I've heard all kinds of things said by angry f1 drivers moments after they've been taken out of a race, surely you have too. After Canada 98 MS accused Damon Hill of trying to kill him. He also accused DC of trying to kill him at spa the same year. Perhaps you think DC and Hill should have been banned from the sport? Of course not. I also remember after Imola 04 Alonso said that Ralf enjoys crashing into people. In the heat of the moment drivers exaggerate, understandably, as they're angry. Now do you see how stupid your comments are?! There have been huge accidents in f1, there are every year, and its nearly always because of a driver's mistake. Fact is, accidents happen. Sato has never caused anyone any danger. He ran into MS & Trulli this year at relatively low speeds. In 02 he ran into Fisi at low speed, can you think of any other examples? Please dont say monaco 04 cos you'll just make an idiot of yourself. You have no basis for such ludicrous statements

Frankly this topic has gone silly in my view... sato is an idiot and will eventualy fade from F1 hopefully sooner rather than later. Although if Super Aguri is around expect to see him in F1 for a while until they get sick of his playing bumper car an costing them a fortune! And f1 has never been safer than it is today both in track design and car construction. There are so many frigin chicanes added to the great and historical tracks to slow the drivers down and take away the real dangers it is sickening in my view. Monza is a prime example. Racing from its inception always had inherrant dangers and risk. If people can't stand the heat than get out of the kitchen. One of the reasons why drivers are payed so much to drive is the inherrent dangers associated with driving an F1 car.

There have been other drivers in F1 that have been tagged as wreckless like Sato and pulled numerous bonehead moves. Comments after races to the media criticising other drivers is just heat of the battle anger stuff and has been happening ever since the beginning of motor racing. It goes with the territory in racing. Ralph Schumacher was just as wreckless as Sato was in his 1st three years in F1 and caused many dangerous accidents that could have harmed himself and other drivers. The guy was a friggin nutbar!!Noone lobbied for his dismissal by the FIA although fellow drivers said the same thing of him at the time that they are now throwing at Sato. When Ralph entered the sport he clearly didn't belong in f1 and had no business being there and he only got there by riding the coat tails of the repretation of his big brother. Sato similarly didn't belong either, and only got to F1 because Honda wanted a Japanese driver rather badly!

The truth is that Sato is now a marked man an will be watched closely by the FIA in the coming year. If he continues his ways, like I've said before they will rachet-up their dicipline of him that will include suspensions. My guess is Sato will always to some extent be a problem driver but will eventually settle down if he wants to continue in the sport.

There is no comparison between Ralf and Sato. Ralf was far quicker in his debut year and made far fewer mistakes. Ralf has developed as a driver and is now less error prone, Sato has not made such an improvement Sato is unique, in a very bad way. He is indeed a danger to the other drivers and marshals and we cannot dismiss the opinions of several current F1 stars, including the 7 times Champion, all of whom are utterly appalled with Sato
