Autumnpuma 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2006 I'll admit to not having the latest Playstation. Mine is the antiquated PS One and as such I only have, I believe, GT2 (?). I would find it surprising if the physics model changed dramatically but perhaps it did. The GT version I have actually models my old Supra pretty darn near perfect--that includes the horrid understeer and snap oversteer on exit. Also the lousy gearing in 1st-3rd (on tight courses). The biggest flaw most gamers have, I have noticed, is assuming you will have the same grip going 130 as you do going 60. The amount of understeer road cars have is amazing unless you dramatically alter brake-bias, etc. This flaw in thinking sometimes makes people believe that the physics model of a game is incorrect when in fact the gamer is simply entering the corner far too hot. Many trips in to the kitty-litter tends to make a person think it's the game, not the user, that is fouled-up . On this note, the PC game GTR has a very good physics model that was, supposedly, verified by a few of the actual drivers in the series. I seem to remember the folks who put together GT for Playstation did the same sort of testing, using actual drivers from the JGTC... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
