Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2006 I hope ericcson today goes for a 3-5-2 strategy as the 4-4-2 is getting old and predictable! Argentina are doing well with a 3-5-2 and it would allow us to do shorter passes and not such long balls!

Argentina are doing well with a 3-5-2 and it would allow us to do shorter passes and not such long balls! we've been saying at work today that england should try 3-5-2 with michael carrick playing the holding role, allowing lampard to go forward which he does so well for chelsea. Mind you we used 4-4-2 against argentina in november and we were brilliant
Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2006 i would still go for a 3-5-2 and im pleased crouch is being replaced by rooney as I think Owen isnt looking so hot because crouch cant help him and vice a versa, crouch and rooney are very different and the way rooney plays goes will with Owen so this is good news i think! sevag00 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2006 yeh 3-5-2 formation is good, casue the midfield is most important part in football, but you must have a strong defence like italy to use that formation, brazil cannot use that formation becasue they lack of strong defence. Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2006 Oh my ****ing god we are scrwed We will be up against argentina in the quarter finals depending on if we beat ecuador and argentina finish top of their group and defeat their last 16 game! Judging by tonights shabby performance bys, football most certainly wont be coming home this year!

sevag00 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2006 yeh, in reality England isn't that strong team, but they have great players. The important thing is you passed the 2nd round.
cavallino 2 Report post Posted June 21, 2006 Today's Argentina match should be a cracker, I am supporting them from now on. I hope Aimar gets a chance. At least Argentina didn't leave out my favourite Valencia players like Spain did
ykickamoocow 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2006 I'm cheering on Australia, Croatia, England and Holland! Who are you going for next match because the result will see the winner into the next round and the loser will take no further part in the World Cup.

No, by topping the group we will avoid argentina in the quarters and will instead play probably portugal or holland, assuming holland finish 2nd to argentina. Sweden will face germany and whoever wins that will most likely face argentina
Kay 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2006 Who are you going for next match because the result will see the winner into the next round and the loser will take no further part in the World Cup. It will be Australia, I think they've showed more than Croatia have and showed Brazil up quite a bit, as despite it being 2-0, there wasn't much between the sides. It'll be interesting if any of my teams meet later on, as it'll be hard to choose who to support in the later stages...

ykickamoocow 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2006 yeh what a offside goal from Kewell. NEVERMIND, dumm referees Well he also didnt notice the rugby tackle done on Vikuka or the Crotian handball in the box which both should have resulted in penalty shot. Kay 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2006 So that is Argentina and Germany through to the last 8 me thinks. It was only a mini one. It went ok as it was only on me toe, but now it seems my toe may be infected and it hurts like hell. Been up since 3:30am when the pain awoke me and a similar story yesterday. cavallino 2 Report post Posted June 24, 2006 Ah toe, I thought there was some link between losing track of things and the operation Sweden might have a shot, though Germany have been playing well.
Kay 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2006 I think Sweden have been able to look good just because England have been playing very bad... Well there is a link in the fact I've not had much sleep since Wednesday, so my brain can't handle too much before it gets fried.
