Get in your car, drive down to the M5/M4 patchway, go east until you reach Swindon, take the A361 (awesome drivers road) all the way to Chipping Norton. Head for Buckingham and then Milton Keynes. Driving properly and in the night you could do it in just over two hours. I'll put a beer on ice for ya.

Oh, i know the race starts early but i'm making a day of it with some buddies. We get up early, i do breakfast for them then we watch the race. We start drinking mid morning to get us in the mood for the afternoon session which includes the BBQ.

As for the time of the race in Aussie... for the sake of 5hrs if I where you I'd avoid the result and just watch it later as if it's live.

That's what we try to do but, it's annoying knowing that the checkered flag dropped ages ago.

It has always made me wonder why 10 bothered stealing the rights from 9..... They don't do much with it.

I am sick of channel 10.

I hope you are all ringing up and complaining about this. Tell them you are boycotting all Channel 10 shows and will download the race instead and any of their others shows that interest you.

In WA they are putting on City Slickers II instead of the race at 3:00pm and showing the race at 10:40:pm nearly 8 hours delayed...They told me 'this is due to programming commitments' so I ask them why they are committed to showing a 14 year old movie at 3:00 this Sunday and she mumbles something about the amount of movies 'they have to show per week'.

Makes me laugh when I remember their 'keep sport on free to air campaign' from last year. I would happily pay to watch the F1 qualy and races live.

Now, if someone could post information on how to watch streaming F1 with commentary online that would be great...

You can watch it via an application called Sopcast from www.sopcast.com but the quality is hardly amazing (normally 256 kilobits per sec, sometimes even lower, and sometimes even in french).

What I'm saying is, if they won't show it live then they should let Fox show it like other sports.

I still think it should be shown on free to air T.V. but at a more accommodating time.

Exactly. Like the Rugby League. Fox sports shows all games live (Bar those shown live on free to air)

It'd be similar to that. Foxs would show the sessions live, and Ten would show them delayed, as they already do anyway....

I found the channel 10 announcers very irritatingas they obviously knew nothing about formula 1. One of them insisted that the Malaysian GP was 310 laps long and the other kept refering to Rubens Barrichello as Rubens Barr-chello emphasising the 2nd part of his name. I kept yelling at him saying that Rubens is not a musical instrument.

I never watch RPM... They always have a lot of V8 stuff, which I hate. I guess that will have changed now, but I can't be bothered watching it.

The problem now with motorsport on ten is that all the competent commentators went to channel 7 with the V8 Supercars. Now we are left with Gred Rust and he was a good pitlane commentator but im my opinion he isnt good in the commentary box. Its like if Martin Brundle quit ITV and the producers decided they would replace him with Louise Goodman. It just wouldnt work.

RPM is meant to be putting more of a focus on F1 & MotoGP this year after they lost the rights to the V8 Supercar Series. I missed it last weekend so I'm yet to discover weather this is true or not.

I agree completely. Even though i already knew the results it still would have been nice to hear the team radio's. They talked right through Coulthard explaining to his engineer that his car was becoming undrivable and he thought it would be best to retire.

Yeah that was the instant I was referring to in particular. They should just go straight back to the action not talk crap that no one wants to hear after the ad break.

And it wasnt like they were saying anything important. All they were doing was giving us a general recap of what has happened so far in the race.
