Murray Walker Diagnosed With Cancer

Apologies if this has been raised in another section of the forum; I just saw the news today, it's very sad. Murray says it's been discovered early which is a good sign, but you never know with cancer; we probably all know someone who has died that way.

As a kid of the 90s, I grew up with Murray Walker's commentary, whether it was for Formula One, or touring cars. To me, he IS the voice of motorsport.

More than that, he's just a really nice, genuine guy.

Reminds me actually, the BBC aired a brilliant documentary on Murray Walker a couple of years ago. Well worth watching if you have the time.

Oh jesus! As another poster mentioned, he was the voice of motorsport and watching F1 hasn't ever quite been the same since his retirement.

I had a long car drive recently and listened to his autobiography, really well worth the listen. I hope he pulls through and has a few more stories to share with us.

Voice of motorsport is right, he's signature style calling the pinnacle of racing is surely unmistakably recognisable.
