Am I living in a different country?? I thought asians are people from asia last time too, but apparently I was wrong. Asian usually refer to people from east asia + south east asia (usually chinese, korean etc) , and There are the South Asians which are usually from India and all.

A bit weird imo, but my Indian friend refer me as asian, but not her, so I guess it's true

yes south east asia seems to have exclusive ownership over the term asian. though otherwise calling someone asian would not give any information. asia is too varied.

As to the girls - I'm dead serious. I was talking to a friend earlier and he recounted a story of a group of girls (not hookers) chasing him down the street and other stories of girls following him into washrooms.  That is exactly what I need right now!  

The HIV-infection rate is astronomically high in Ghana relative to North America but much lower than other African countries - 3%, 72% among sex workers. I plan on wearing condoms though...

I wouldn't put my faith in a condom. It is the only thing separating one from life and death and is not 100% safe. It's like playing Russian roulette, only with a bigger drum. It's still a risk, if you ask me. I live in South Africa – the stats on teachers alone: 12% of SA's teachers are dying from AIDS or HIV related diseases, everyday and growing. And I'm sure they are smart enough to wear comdoms. That stat you've got on Ghana doesn't sound right. I will some research and get back to you. You must also remember that only a small percentage gets tested for this ( and it is always stumbled across accidentally) as and when the need arises.
