Some Interesting Articles On Global Warming

 Yeah probably, AleHop. He also told me he does it in a yellow track suit, and if anyone gets too excited he shouts 'caaaaaaalm down, caaaaaaaaalm down' and waves his arms around.

I think you will find it was purple tracksuit. It was just wishful thinking on your part that it was yellow so you would have some use for that tracksuit you bought at gays 'r' us and not feel such an outcast living in our city's illustrious shadow :whistling:

I am. Please enlighten me oh great maure. Where did I say an academic has no right to have an opinion.

Scan back a few posts until you find one that has your name on it.

Sure. But it's not so hard in this case. I'll help you out. Here is a joint statement from the national science academies of Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, India, Japan, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States:

Are you trying to tell us that you think there are but a dozen countries in the world?

Shadow? There's no shadow from Liverpool. You can see the shiny tracksuits from space. :whistling:

 @ Ale, Paul and Muzza's posts.

Stop making me laugh so hard, I almost started waving my arms and making noise!

Or how about you find me a line where I said that chappie has no right to have an opinion? :)

I think you'll find that shell suits used to catch fire really quick, so that's not actually shininess you see, but fire!

Since Murray is busy checking a world atlas, let's get a few laughs at your expense.

Thanks, since you provided the link yourself - no expertise in climate science, worked in chemical and material engineering and that's what his research expertise and published work are about. Is this the best you could come up with? The standard of the arguments put forward by the 'anti-warming' brigade in this thread is perhaps the best evidence for climate change.

Surely there must be a number of experts in the field who hold similar views?

You posted a link to his work as if it's supposed to carry any weight ( I can't think of any other reason - the arguments are a tired repeatedly discredited rehash of popular 'skeptical' opinions. You claimed his word carried some weight, however he doesn't seem to be a climate scientist.

Now, please, tell us that what you really meant to say is that this academic (technician says clueless Murray) does have a right to an opinion on the GW "debate".... I mean, of course, if your erratic mental faculties allow to understand what topic you are posting on.

Ah now I see your problem. You can't count.

Aaahhhh... It could be two dozens and still their conclusions would lack rationale and would have imagination to throw around.

Ah now I see your problem. You can't count.

Apparently, far better than you.

But please, don't allow me to distract you from the astonishment you must have felt on discovering that, indeed, that are far more than a handful of countries in the world...

Btw, how does this new information you are now coming across fit in with your "consensus"? Any cracks in your blind faith?

And, once again, please tell us more about your plans for Africa. Don't hide your talents. Give to the world.

No, no cracks in the consensus so far. :( Which countries' science academies should I look at to get a more balanced view?

I think you'll find that shell suits used to catch fire really quick, so that's not actually shininess you see, but fire!

Don't worry. From space you all look like the shining stars of humanity. :) The 3 wise men from Mars will land in Liverpool looking for the Messiah any time now. :P

 I didn't say or imply anything about his right to have an opinion, I merely deconstructed your false argument from authority.

You tell us, buddy. You are the one betting it all on some "consensus" and "vast majority" of whatever.

 I didn't say or imply anything about his right to have an opinion, I merely deconstructed your false argument from authority.

So now you say he has a right to his opinion on the GW "debate"... well, then, pay attention to what he has to say and educate yourself.

Regarding my position on the topic, simply go back to the begining of the thread, read what I have to say, and then come to me with something more than half-masticated blasts of nonsense. If you do, we'll talk. If you don't, you will hear nothing but laughter...

Oh he's wrong. He has the right to be wrong though :P

Don't forget the Penn and Teller videos, everyone.

They are worse than anything maure has come up with.

So, can you back your claim or is it no more than your regular bullsht?

That's alright Maure, time will tell and then <effects Spanish accent> Murray, Oli and Cav will be our beetches :D

Time has told, my friend, time has told.

As you can appreciate, the GW cause does not follow the mechanics of scientific inquiry and perfectly fits political campaigning. As such, it is doomed to wither. It can't survive the attention span of the population. It does not even have to do with merit.

Perhaps it would be more interesting to start talking about the new armageddon they will start anouncing in a few years time...

How are they?

I posted a link a few pages back, find it. Even if they were arguing for the existence of global warming, I still wouldn't give them any importance, that show strikes me as a loud, bombastic if mildly entertaining. It's like thinking you know about cars (or global warming for that matter) from watching Top Gear. Don't mistake entertainment for credible science, at best it should provoke your interest to do more research. That's what puts me off, even a shallow examination every single link posted by our friendly Mauritanian and friends leads to lies, misstatements and blatant attempts to mislead people.
