Jean Todt 4 Report post Posted July 4, 2010 VW group will buy Italdesign. All the Italian heritage his gone by now. Bertone closed, Pininfarina to TATA and Italdisgn to VW. Whats remain ??? My friend works for Bertone...the Design center is still pure Bertone and still 100% Italian.....some of the assets have been sold off to FIAT...thats all... Pininfarina still mostly Italian....Tata only has some shares in it....not even controling stake... Italdesigns will still be Italdesigns....because even before they sold the company they were very healthy......in a way it was good for Italdesigns to get the cash injection.... Pucky the Whale 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2010 Finally, the kind of Chevrolet I like!!! http://www.blogcdn.c...08/01-woody.jpg My most beautiful 2011 motor vehicles sold in the United States by category: Small sedan: Kia Forte...it may not be pretty, but compared to a Civic or Corolla, it's well-styled. Small hatch: Volvo C30...a lot of nice hatches, but the C30 has nice style. Small coupé: Meh. None. The 2006 Acura RSX, available at a used car dealer near you. Midsize sedan: Toughest category by far, but the Hyundai Sonata just edges out quite a few competitors. Midsize wagon: Saab 9-3 Sport Combi...well, perhaps it won't be on sale in the U.S. in 2011, but it's better than any other wagons here. Midsize coupé: Volkswagen CC...a coupé with four doors, but still a coupé, and still rendering the Passat useless for Volkswagen. The Audi S5 comes close, of course. Large sedan: Mazda6...just over the Volvo S60. Minivan: Mazda5...not ugly and not ungainly, so it wins by default Truck: Chevrolet Colorado...in desperate need of a redesign, but wins simply because it comes with a regular cab (two doors, one bench seat), making it much smaller and more efficient than any other truck in the U.S. SUV: This is actually a hard category, believe it or not. Maybe it's the U.S. American in me that really likes driving SUVs, because I do prefer them (but won't own one unless we get diesels, or else they're too inefficient). The Volkswagen Tiguan gets it, but the Mazda CX-7 gives it a good run, among others, including the MINI Countryman Muscle car: The Ford Mustang is the best overall package, but on exterior beauty, the Dodge Challenger. It's just classic muscle car. Sports car: Porsche Cayman! Though I won't say no to a California; a very pretty car indeed. Or the Maserati GranTurismo. The Tesla Roadster is nice, too. Supercar: My default, the Ferrari F430, is gone, leaving me quite sad (not into the F458). I refuse to pick one now out of pure rage that the F430 can't be sold forever and always. It was just...right. If only they sold the Ferrari P4/5; I do like that.

Pucky the Whale 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2010 What kind of Eric/Cinco/Pucky The Whale/Drymaster/lewisthegreat2 conclusion is this??? What happened to the beloved Previa eh?? The Previa is not a 2010 model sold in the United States. Besides, it lost its magic when it became something I could pay cash for and still have money to insure myself (for a few days, at least). I can't make fun of something I might need someday

Pucky the Whale 0 Report post Posted August 7, 2010 Its available at a used car dealer near you. Nope. Only one within 200 miles of me. Not quite worth the drive and that would take twenty tanks of petrol in my SUV to get to anyway.

Persevere 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2010 It's great except for the big nose. Ugh. Argento: Yes, I saw this. Nicely done, Jaguar. Mike: I am taking the high road, restraining myself mightily and biting my tongue at the marvelous straight line you've (inadvertently?) provided. Hard to believe no one else has jumped in with both feet, however...

Jean Todt 4 Report post Posted October 7, 2010 Btw...those pics of F430 ive posted were shot by me in the streets of Turin... You guys should see the Alfa 8c in red or black, they remind you of the old beauties yet it looks so modern. The other cars which are menacing the streets of Italy are the 458 Italia and Maser GT.... Just saw a blue DB9......never liked blue...but the Aston still looks damn beautiful in the colour which I never prefer.
