Funny JB has posted the 5th fastest lap and "almost" finished at the bottom, and look at DC 11th quickest and has finished 4th.

Can't really say how goos the cars were based on Melbounre?

ouch! Sato was pretty crap as well, BEHIND JV. The car looks good though since Massa wasn't that far off McLaren. Anyways, I don't think JV will last the year, either he'll quit or he'll be fired, that's my gut feeling.

I can see him just throwing his hands up in the air and walking out, but I can also see Peter Sauber telling him he's not up to it and he's tearing up the contract, don't know which will happen, but one will if things don't improve.

Rumours are already surfacing that JV might get fired by mid-season....Sauber has not a lot of money to spend and he certainly doesn't want to spend his dollars for an underperforming driver...I think that now, with Klien having been so good right now, Liuzzi might come back in the game at Sauber soon..

Another intersting thing in those lap times is that the list shows how much Alonso was quick in the Australian Week end..he should have won the race..and I think is going to do it next week at Sepang..although it seems that another wet week end is on the cards (s##t!!)

But if it is dry race, I bet Kaciaj, the silver machines are going to be right on top. Did you notice, that Mclarens are not saying a word these days. I guess they are so focussed on get this race right.

Yes, Alonso was quicker than Fisi but was hampered by the weather and subsequent traffic. I think Martin Brundle was quite correct in naming him driver of the race, although DC did a good job as well.

yeah DC impresed me cos he held onto his place and was keeping up! I think frank williams was correct red bull will be this seasons surprise team, however we cant judge on just 1 race out of 19!

You're right but when someone is held up all race I think they give a better indication of their speed than the finishing positions. Especially for the more consistent drivers.

I'd like him to win too but Fisi wasn't trying for most of the race so his best lap isn't indicative of his true pace. I think KR+JPM can do better too.

Fisi didn't need to push, he was thinking ahead to Malaysia. Fisi did what he had to, which was win, and now has an engine which wasn't tested to it's fullest for one of the hottest GP's of the year.

Exactly, but Alonso is very good in the races, he is able to register consistently fast lap times more so than any of his team-mates throughout his F1 career. I suspect Alonso will finish higher in the WDC than Fizzy (ps. spelling intentional) as he is the better driver in my opinion.

Sounds like you don't like Fisi? If you're right Alonso could be champion this year, a result I would be very happy with. I think it'll be close but Alonso will probably come out on top in the end. They have a very good line up.
