bajo39 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 top competition? How can you say that, webber has proved nothing. He couldnt even finish higher or equal his 5th place in a car significantly better although still crap, jaguar! You cannot compare webber and put him alongside the best as he isnt no where near the standard! And the facts would back me up here. Although he is a good driver and obv has potential he cannot be ranked higher than JB and more established drivers, even RB would have to be ranked higher until he proves himself! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who knows whether Webber is better than JB. The point I was making is that he is much better than Sato.

nojvnof1 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 having the potential is one thing, delivering on it is another. JV had potential in '96, and delivered the following year, whilst finishing runner up in '96. Up and coming kids have potential (Klein, Liuzzi, Albers etc), not someone who is in their 6th F1 season!!!
nojvnof1 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 How is JB on course to destroy Taku? They've both got 0 points.
Sato 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 i was thinking that myself, but didn't bother question JB-fans logic. By the way JB is better then TS. I don't deny that.

Jem of the Shire 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 Was reading autosport's report on Bahrain, hoping to find out about this great move Sato supposedly made. All it says is that de la Rosa was too conservative at the start, which meant that he was passed by Sato & someone else (I've forgotten who), and then was stuck behind the much-slower BAR for the whole first stint. And in Sato's mini-report it didnt mention the move at all
Sato 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 and your point was....?
Jem of the Shire 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 That I am still utterly unconvinced about this overtaking move, and somewhat disappointed that some of u have gone so far as to make up a story (or at least exaggerate) about sato passing 2 cars and making out that he's great!!
Sato 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 there is no exageration look at the tape you can see it. Sato can never once have done something good, because he is so crap
Jem of the Shire 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 Its not that, its just hard to believe the story that was originally told. I've seen Sato make a few good overtaking moves but also a few not so good
Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 yes i too was wonderring how JB is wiping the floor with TS seeing they are both level-pegging in the WDC so far, lol! And im sure sato has done some great moves, well he has, but i just think as i said before it was all a bit of a kefuffufle into the corner, and JB and Pedro prob got tangled allowing the oh so wonderful pile of crap sato to get past! Up and coming kids have potential (Klein, Liuzzi, Albers etc), not someone who is in their 6th F1 season!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That person who has been driving for 5 seasons is only 25! Webber is like 28 0r 29 or summin, so hes got no hope by what your saying! MS is 36, he has no hope does he, considering how old he is, and how many seasons has he competed in! However many seasons you have competed in dosnt make a difference whatso ever, in actual fact it can be often a good thing having experiance. Just because JV had the best car but was also very good 8/9 years ago! You cant say someone cant win a world championship cause they are experianced! Alonso and Kimi are in their 4th season, does that mean next year they will be past it? What a load of bulls##t!!!
AutoRacer5 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 Not only must the driver be good, but the car must be underneath them to carry them to the title. If you're in the right car at the right place at the right time, no one can beat you.
Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 Yeah exactly. It seriously does not matter how old u are, what a stupid statement!!!\ Yaaaay ive posted 1000 times!!!!

Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 yeah thats unfortunately always been the way that the machine is what puts u at the front. Sato could possibly even challenge if he was in last years ferrari team! Thats just showing how much your machinery helps you!
Jem of the Shire 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 Would have been interesting to see MS vs Sato in 2004 ferrari! I really don't know how well he would have done. In f1 lets face it nearly all about the car. I hate driving aids, I can't wait until one day they get rid of them, then driving ability would be much more of a factor. This is why its so hard to compare drivers, deciding who's better. Everyone's loving Alonso right now, but I'm not fooled. The only other driver with his car won the first race, then had mechanical problems in the last 2 races. Alonso is still just over-rated Alonso to me, don't get me wrong he didnt do anything bad in the last 3 races
Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 some people say JB is over rated but us brits are just very supportive, or most of us anyway!

bajo39 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 there is no exageration look at the tape you can see it. Sato can never once have done something good, because he is so crap <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I still dispute that. Edit: I mean that I dispute your statement that you can see the pass in the F1 feed. At best, you can see three cars alongside heading into the corner but, this is a far measure short of confriming an excellent move as it doesn't rule out an earlier incident between JB and PDR allowing Sato alongside.
