Intresting to see Narain was faster than Webber, DC, RS.

Luizzi not only outpaced his team mate but had outpaced quite a few bigger names with better machines....

Webber would easily of had a faster lap during those earlier stages but Trulli had him held up, dunno what happened but during the 2nd stint his car died or something, kos he went backwards.

Good time from Wurz too, nice race from him really.

Glad to see how good wurz did in his first race in like 4 years. BAR looks like a rejuvinated team with jb and ts being in the top 6 in the fast lap catagory

I think a lot of us thought a podium was a chance after the BAR testing but yes credit to both Sato and JB for their good performances. As for JV I need'nt say anything and yes i am surprised by narain's pace. I knew it was his best in terms of pace but i did'nt expect him to hang on to DC till the end of the race.

If I'm not mistaken in Q2, the commentator mentioned that in straight line speeds the Minardis were doing about 304 kms or so. That was faster than the Mclaren and the Toyotas, so I was expecting the minardis to do well. In the sense atleast have a decent fast lap.

so?? alot of other drivers were using the engine for the second race. Interesting FM was .4 faster than JV, I'd have thought JV would have been quicker, but he was in traffic for most of the race except for last few, where he pulled away from Jarno. But I'm not gonna let that dampen a positive race. Very encouraging for Narain and Liuzzi, these two look to be the real deal. Liuzzi 1.2 faster than DC, I recall JV getting caned for being a similar gap slower than FM, but the thing is, VL is a rookie and had DC's measure all weekend. I wonder if Autosport will run a front cover about DC being dumped for CK or AD this week?? ;)

Webber is crap end of because FA and KR had old engines and they were still fast lap times!!!

FA and KR alos had much better cars. NH was 9th, MW was 10th, obviously neither driver is that bad, the car obviously wasn't the greatest for Imola. The car hates bumps and kurbs, and both those are extremely present at Imola.

iu just realised summin that by moving onto dissing webber i have yet again become an enemy of urs as ur a webber fan. Funny old world init!

Heidfeld beat webber, how i dont know but he slipped from 4th to 10th on the grid and made a few mistakes. The car may not like the circuit but you expect a williams to finish in front of a sauber for gods sake!!!

I dont question that webber is fast, but he is just making too many mistakes and at critical times. When you have a train of cars tucked up like they were behind trulli it really highlights when you make a mistake. Not only did he make one (sato got by him) he made another and JV got by. Im an aussie and like webber, but he is hasnt made a good start to the year. I have a feeling that he will take some of the media attention now that JV has had a reasonable finish

In Bahrain he made a mistake, In Imola he had a bad start, topped off with the wrong stratergy, he was stuck behind Trulli for the first 25 laps, then behind JV after his mistake for quite some time.

To me this [the times] suggests that Bridgestone obviously had a tyre advantage at Imola.

and Ferrari a car advantage and Michael a class advantage, but not enough for a win.

 @ Taku, mate I was punching the air when he made that move, it was great seeing him mixing it with the big boys and sticking to their pace finally. I was pleased how Neil and Bill didn't make any excuses for MW this time and praised JV, it's been a long time coming!! The thing is, once JV got by MW, he was faster than him, and would have been faster had he got by JT, who he was stuck up behind.

i am just saying nick was on his 1st engine and webber was on his 2nd, there the only 2 guys on BMW engines and thats what webber said for dropping at the end of the race.

Webber's engine was turned down towards the end of the race anyway, so Nick did have an advantage.

he was too. the sauber looks half-decent now doesn't it, which is surprising since their testing was so disrupted. maybe it likes the european air.

trulli disrupted a lot of people's race, but you know jv can't talk! a certain gp in your neck of the woods, nudge nudge ;)
