I deteste the states!I find their actions in vietnam were appalling, if i was alive then i woulda been routing for the vietnamese to thrash the americans! which really they did! ? The Americans thrashed the Viatnamese through and through... Do you have any idea what the relative death tolls were? Britian surely has a more brutal history than America but I suppose that because it is a more dated history (Britian having not been a superpower for more than 100 years), it is acceptable? Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2005 america didnt beat vietnam, they pulled out and the only reason the death tolls were so high was because of americas weaponry! They had no right to go into vietnam! Im proud of being british! ANd we have a very very long history, and yes we have fought many a war, we have also never gone into wars minus our latest effort for no reason!

ANd we have a very very long history, and yes we have fought many a war, we have also never gone into wars minus our latest effort for no reason! Well they didn't prevent the spread of communism but they did kill a huge number of Vietnamese, over 1 million troops and 2-3 million civilians versus 60,000 of their own troops. I can see that you're prooud of being British but you don't have any recent history to be proud of. Britian is no longer a superpower, and really a declining power, whereas the US is the world's sole superpower. Not only that, but Britian participated in the Iraq war alongside the US so to the extent that you think that war was a sham, and I disagree with you on that, you should be embarassed for your country's actions as well. Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2005 why should i feel embarressed by the UK's recent actions, what have we done to embarress ourselves other than the iraq war and siding with america, this is our biggest downfall, and its only because of tony blair, also magghie thatcher was a prat, but all before that this country was great and i still regard it today as being great! Unnessersary loss of british life! a country thats in turmoil as its gone too quickly from a dictatorship to a democracy and the people cant see this. Null 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2005 wow! HAHAHA, Im not saying anything more... just HAHAHAHA One more thing... Im sure the locals sitting on the straight think the F1's are racing around the complete oval? hahahahahah excellent!! That does it. Don't want to be a British idiot (guitar) Dont want a nation that has really bad teeth(guitar) And can you hear the moans of a nation (guitar) When they realize Button's a piece of Sh#t (guitar) Welcome to a new kind of tension All across the idiot nation Everything's ok if Button wins We all dream of tomorrow When we all realize That America's better (guitar) oh dear god, grow up, please. Nobody in the world would be offended by this, it's not even like you're ripping off a half decent song Yeah, I often think he should shutup & go back to school, and let the grown ups talk about Formula 1. hahahaha The best one liner I have heard for a long time!!!!! you're on fire wez!! Shut up Ben! The man's home state just got demolished for christ's sake, leave him alone. There has been worse flood and wind damage in britain than those which touched his house and you don't see them come crying for sympathy... Hey, thats not fair to ram it down everyones throats when thats all we have read about, Hes already stated his house is fine etc etc etc so no, he no longer needs to be treated sympathetically as theres no need to feel sympathetic for him! A good point further emphasised by ben Okay, after the next terrorist attack on London (and you can be sure there is another coming), the forum will be sure to limit its sympathy to a period not exceeding 2 weeks. You know Bajo, there ARE people who live outside london, and for them, what happened in NO is just as close to home as what happened in London, ie, not very. Oh and you have a huge earthquake in san francisco to look forward to NO BEN! Don't be nasty to california!! That's one of the few places in america I could actually stand to visit! Britian surely has a more brutal history than America but I suppose that because it is a more dated history (Britian having not been a superpower for more than 100 years), it is acceptable? Yes, we sure do, especially the slave trade which was terrible on all accounts and what was going on then, the owners of the slaves raping their slaves etc, should have never happened, regardless of the times. However, wars and fighting for land in older times was commonplace on a much wider scale than it is today and at the time, it would have been deemed acceptable by their standards. By todays standards, it isn't but in this case, times have changed and I think these sort of things can be forgiven. However, the above mentioned slave trade and anything of the like cannot, and that is something which will scar british history forever. Well they didn't prevent the spread of communism You also need to take into account that there were people in ex communist east bloc countries who liked the communist regime. **** off, my country has a hell of a lot of history to be proud of, and we are not done yet! Agree and disagree. Yes, we do have a lot to be proud of, however, we also have a lot not to be proud of. The british empire is both of these, you shouldn't be proud of the fact that we were invading countries, enslaving people and using all their resources (India, Africa etc), but you could maybe be proud of the fact that we were such a powerful nation and that is what has given us our status in the world today, an extremly large status for such a small country. I don't know, I'm not a nationalist.
AutoRacer5 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2005 Bajo, you are my new best friend. Jenson, you obviously dont watch family guy, that is the bad teeth reference. Also, you need to just admit that you are a left-wing nut job whose country killed one of my heroes, William Wallace. Anyway, British history is quite flawed. You forgot many wars you have, War of the Roses, War of 1812 (lost), Revolutionary war (lost), Hundred years war, Norman invasion (lost), Invasion of tourists (I participated), and Invasion of the Vikings and Goths and other Germanic tribes (lost). Oh, dont forget Oliver Cromwell, least America hasnt had a dictator. My school isnt up yet but I will be seeking employment. As for the war: Schoolchildren can now learn in fair textbooks that aren't plastered with Sadamm's pictures or with his pictures on their walls with Anti-Western world propaganda. Oh, and we have more freedoms than you. Why cant Catholics hold office in England? kind of hypocritical, dont you think? Apparently we have morals, I went to many magazine shops, and so many of them (95%) had an entire shelf with porn. Though I enjoyed them there, I remembered that American shops didnt have that much in them. You say we are a crap country but we cant attack you now? what about your accents, your tea and crumpets, your pinky whenever you drink tea? whats up with Socialists? Planning permission? NEWSFLASH: WE DONT HAVE THAT IN AMERICA! Just buy the land, and build on it after consulting a few contractors. Oh: because of your strikes that Nature is out to get us, I hope that when it rains, lightning knocks some object on you and knocks some sense in you, damn liberal.
