USGP 2006

Bajo,

and they are talking about the all the refineries in the path of Rita, this area has the most anywhere in the world. Talking about gas prices rising to double what they did a few weeks ago.

I know for those of you outside the States, $3.50US (1.95GPB) a gallon(3.8ltrs) is cheap since you pay so much more already. Prices here went from $2.19 (1.2GBP) a few months ago to over $4.00(2.2GBP) in some places. Now they are back down to $2.90(1.6), but predicted to go as high as $5.00(2.79) a gallon. I am saying a prayer and crossing my fingers for that area, have lots of friends and co-workers down there.

I'm not about to shed any tears over high oil/gas/petrol prices Kenny... In fact, I'm looking forward to higher prices and the higher the better to my mind.

Also, please respect fellow members...New, or Old. Each member deserves respect.

anyways, I think F1 needs to continue racing in America. It's a massive market with a huge potential. Having said that I think they should move to another track, any of the four bajo suggested would be fine.

Here, try living in this country, we are an oil producing nation and yet we are taxed to extremes on petrol, its somthing around 92 pence per litre which is a HUGE amount, last time i went to spain i saw petrol as cheap as 46cents which is like 30p! This just shows our current government are taking advantage of us brits! I should start a campaign to get rid of george bush and tony blair!

and an earthquake, and a super volcano! No not just about iraq, also for what they have done their entire history! I deteste the states!

I find their actions in vietnam were appalling, if i was alive then i woulda been routing for the vietnamese to thrash the americans! which really they did!

Can I just point out that these views do NOT represent those of all brits by any means.... I know that's obvious but some still need it to be said.

Also the same could be said of Britain in Iraq and during the Empire era, but you conveniently ignore that JR?

However, the people IN a nation affected by events such as this are bound to be more sympathetic.

Good! Canada is a net petroleum exporter and will remain one until crude oil is no longer used... We have greater oil reserves than Suadi Arabia.

Well, I got my refund from the USGP over the weekend. (will not smile until the check clears) I am a bit upset at how they are giving away the 20,000 seats they purchased. Everyone that renews or has already renewed will receive vouchers for extra tickets. I travel there by myself and have already purchased my ticket. If I do not purchase a ticket, my free ticket will not be sent. Everyone I know that attends the GP also has their tickets renewed or will be doing so. WHAT THE HECK are we all going to do with extra tixs to the GP, try and sell them on our own????

Rather than just paying for the ticket already purchased, they are dumping extra tickets on us that we cannot use.

I will be calling the IMS office to find out what is going on.

To be continued.....

Michelin bought 20,000 tickets and they are giving them to people that went last year. I haven't gotten my refund yet, but I think most of it will go to a friend who ordered most of the tickets.

Flying this time and for either race we have people to stay with--20min. from Indy and somewhere close for the Glen, but we'd camp out at the Glen and probably at Indy for that matter(rent a motorhome)............

You cheap spoilt americans - I'd happily come over to your country with several barrels to fill up with petrol, I'd probably end up making a profit if I took it back home and sold it and that's after I've accounted for flight and hotel costs!
