Jacques > Wheldon Period. BMW would be foolish to replace Jacques with this driver.

It is complete crap. I cannot understand why people attend the races. At least with NASCAR... actually I don't know why anyone watches NASCAR either. Both series are complete rubbish.

well if BMW drop JV...........one thing is pretty much confirmed....this paddock has absolutely no sense(well i am not saying it has any sense now) .......Massa who has been perfroming relatively the same gets a ferrari seat and JV.....amd i don't buy that ageing guy argument i think in F1 it is fitness and the racing skills that count more than age...........you are right nojvnof1 this is 2003 all over again.........well god willing JV should stay but....if he does'nt i am out of drivers to support......

They give away alot of tix to IRL races or they make you buy a package deal to see another race that you want to see.

Sorry but I love NASCAR, where else can you turn on a race and see a hockey match?

I watch all of the road course races and support Ron Fellows and Boris Said but I just can't handle the monotony of the oval races. Maybe if I went to see one live, I might be converted?

I've talked to Boris on many an occasion he is the most aproachable of drivers and nice, and yes if you went to a NASCAR race at the right track you would be coverted...............

Ah the uninformed, they are not all the same shape each is unique in it's own way.......

what, like some straights are longer than others, some banking is more banked than others and some go up on a higher gradient than others?

Peter Sauber's Comments on Jv's Qualifying was very complimentary "Jacques delivered the performance we expected of him, he did a very strong lap"!Jacques himself said "that Concidering my race strategy< I'm really happy with the lap it was clean and quick".

if BMW replace JV with Wheldon, it'll be just as bad as how BAR dumped JV for Sato. Jacques just needs to put his head down and drive through all this BS.

indeed jimbo, very positive comments. I'm with Shadow and bajo, if JV goes then it very well may be goodbye to F1 for me. I wouldn't be able to stand seeing another driver which I follow be treated with such disdain and contempt and shown little to no respect for a man who whilst past his peak, has achieved alot more than those more hyped in this sport.

When I first saw PS comments on JV, I was like ooooo, that looks promising. But now hmmm, the cynical part of me reads his line "Jacques delivered the performance we expected of him..." to mean their expectations were low. I hope I'm totally wrong on this and it's exactly what they wanted him do achieve. For JV to have come through all that bull*hit at the beginning of the year when peeps were saying fire him after 3 races is a show of good character on his part. He may be whiney sometimes and a bit negative but he drove through all that crap and is getting better as the year has progressed. Ferrari have been terrible this year. Has anyone said it's Schumi's and RB's fault? Of course not. Their car or tyres are crap. Well Sauber is half a Ferrari or at least a 1/3. This years Sauber is junk compared to years past.

I actually think Peter has had high expectations of Jacques all year, and by all accounts this lap was very very good. By some reports he has alot more fuel on board than Massa, who himself stuffed his quali lap at the Senna S and the team on the pit wall had glum looks on their faces after that.

To add more intrigue, I hear that it's going to rain, with thunderstorms, so we may have a repeat of 2003!!

I'd rather JV get a higher position with lighter fuel myself cause no-one apart from Kimi get's praise for qualifying well on a heavy load. It's all about the PR and face value of a high qualifying slot etc. Makes you look good. In reality it's totally different but this sport is PR driven like no other.

Oh its little princess kaisersalsek is it? I suppose having slightly different degrees of banking and length of straights is not good enough for you is it? I suppose you want left AND right corners...Ms fancy pants.

Death to oval racing!

PS I watched the Las Vegas race and remain unconverted...

Ah you saw the truck race I presume? It was great, the guy hit the wall with 2 laps to go, then made the pass on the leader on the last lap, oh it was awesome.

I don't want left and right hand corners, I demand them!

oh and then you will demand left and right hand corners closely following each other. Then you will demand changes of elevation, tunnels, S curves, hairpins, figure of 8 circuits. you expect the drivers to memorise the configuration of each circuits, judge diffrent braking points for each turn? They can barely go around an oval without crashing and you expect them to memorize 19 different circuits? that is surely superhuman, I cannot imagine a human doing that.

you shall never understand the nuances of the different degrees of setup required for slightly longer straights, and different degrees of banking. Can you imagine how difficult it is to change the setup, aerodynamic configuration for each race according to the different degrees ( ok fractions of degrees) of banking involved. You dream of a series where you would actually have different aerodynamic components for each race.

Science fiction pooh..

your are an engg stdnt perhaps who has referrad"tayal" books. dont bother explaining angle of banking and its effect on the aerodynamics on the car coz not every one in the forum will understand(especiallyafter i have jst found out that there are 13 yr olds here)

Ha ha ha ha. Very funny Cav. :clap3:

I went to Rockingham when it first opened, and was very impressed. Not.

hahahahahaha :naughty: (that smile looks a bit pervy...)

Narian fan - look up the phrase "taking the p**s"

Doesn't Rockingham have a non oval configuration too? Or am I dreaming of space age racing again?
