The only way Sato can get on podium is if it is a USGP 04 type of race

nice try, but its 05

I think Sato losing his drive is the one and only good thing to come out of the recent contract saga.

if there were a 19 car pile up, no doubt Sato would have caused it by pressing the wrong button on his wheel and stalling the car at an inappropriate moment...

And AR5 - I can almost guarantee Sato will go out with a bang, not the good type though - he'll probably do it in style and collide with jenson round the first corner.

...or in quali and be banned for the race

Why all this hate on Sato?

We don't hate him, we just don't like him as a driver or should I say potential driver. He seems like a nice guy when interviewed, just not an F1 caliber driver taking a seat that someone else could use.

hopefully yes maybe not!!rb rookie team are looking for an engine supplier
I hope its not Honda

This was a topic of conversation during the GP over the weekend. Peter Windsor was going to see if he could get any information on a deal with Honda/RBRjr. Honda will sell the engines to them for the price of one seat for next year..... That is a win for the team, they can still develop one driver the way they want and they get engines for both cars. We would also get a better idea of the true difference between Honda and Ferrari engines if the cars for both RBR teams have the same chassis and aero packages.....

Poor Sato. I still can't see RBRjr 'retrofitting' the PS05 to take Honda V8's. They would have to redesign the car substantially, costing lots of money. Mind you, wouldn't it be great to watch Karty and Sato going kamakazi in the same car next year (if rumours are actually true) And what if the Motorbike engine specialists Honda manage to make a much better engine than Ferrari? Could we see a RBRjr/Team America (Fu*k Yeah) or whatever its going to be called (Red Bull Sugar Free perhaps) beating a Team RBR car?

Remember the time that team radio came on and the engineer was talking Sato through what to do?

Are you referring to the episode where Jock was informing Sato of where to go at the start of a Grand Prix!

As I understand it, that was not an isolated incident but an example of standard practice in the Sato camp. It is too bad Jock was not available at the restart of the Belgian GP though or perhaps even during the formation lap of the British GP ;)

So that is common practice then? Disgusting! It is a skill to be able to avoid mayhem at the start of a Grand Prix and negotiate your way through the pack

It is an absolute outrage and only adds weight to the argument for banning pit-car radios as I am a proponent of.

That's right Senna, Takuma requires 'spotting' from the team to keep him out of trouble at the start of the race. Do note that this practice is adopted from NASCAR where drivers require spotting the entire race.

Pathetic!

Banning radios would have several beneficial consequences (effectively ending team orders, coded or otherwise) but one noticeable detrimental consequence is that safety might be compromised. The drivers sometimes need radios to avoid serious dangers which they would be otherwise unaware of.

An important point Senna but I specified pit-car radios to leave open the option for steward-car radios to ensure safety was not compromised ;)

Anyway, I think Sato has abused the spirit of the pit-car radio allowance and the FIA need to put an end to it.

I'd laugh my a## off, if at the next GP we got a team radio on the coverage from Sauber to JV talking him through the start... or from BAR to Jenson.

People say that I am a closet Button fan but I can assure them that I am not and I actually spend more time on this forum defending Kimi Raikkonen.

Sato shouldn't be in F1 anymore, let alone in a Williams!

It is too bad Jock was not available at the restart of the Belgian GP though or perhaps even during the formation lap of the British GP

So you'd prefer him not to be getting this information, to help stop accidents...?

The fact that he requires this information shows how inept he is. If you need an engineer to coach you through the start you shouldn
