I'm Back From Africa!

Recommended Posts

Finally...

Was so disappointed to have missed out on the fun following the Japanese GP :(

Not trying to be Pedantic but did you visit entire countries in the Continent or did you just go to one country in the Continent? Which one? :)

Just one but one of the best, Ghana.

Senna, your photo collection has expanded enormously this season, principally because of the actions of a single man however

Ghana, west Africa.

Welcome back, had to look this up country up on National Geographic website to figure out where it was and what the country was all about. Does not sound like a bad place to visit. Scary infant mortality rate 56% per 1000 births, weather looks pretty good except for the recent drought.

GEE, Right near Nigeria, I get lovely EMAIL's from some goverment official every month or so asking me to help him get money out of the country....

Got any pics of the trip?

It's in a great neighbourhood, surrounded by Togo, Burkina Faso and Cote d'Ivoire. Will post pics soon...

North/West Africa can be extreamly dodgy at times.

Good to see you seem to have had a good time.

National Geographic is not the bastion of truth you know. I have travelled a lot and they don't seem to do a third world Countries any good. As for the statistics, Mind you most third World Coutries doesn't have the facilities to have a good and up to date statistics so I believe that is a guess work by some over paid statistician in Brussels who might never have visited the country he is reporting on.

Just like anyother country in the world.

Just like anyother country in the world.

Im saying that there are some countries in that region of Africa where the ENTIRE country is extreamly dodgy and not just certain parts of it.

But even the dodgy countries are not that bad. For example, I have a friend who is spending a lot of time in Sierra Leone and another in the Congo. Really, the only thing that scares me are civil wars and revolutions because if you're white and around for one of those, you're going to be a priority target.
