Indeed you could have got a British car, like the city rover. I believe the tatas would already be there

Oh I forgot all British car companies have sold out :P:naughty:

Looks cool. Now all you need are splashes of yellow and some Telefonica decals and then you've got yourself one mighty car!

Yep, the City rover was (is?) probably the worst car to be sold in the UK for many years!!

The second part of your statement is not true, although the companies in question are small, specialist manufacturers, such as Bristol and Morgan.

Lets not redefine the term car shall we ;)

I don't think the city rover would still be sold considering that the company has closed down.

Are you implying that the bristol is not a car?

The cars have only ever been made in very small numbers; about 150 per year, although the company have long refused to disclose production numbers and the current production (in 2004) is probably much less than this figure.

 even the ambassador sells more :P

Not around here, it doesn't! It was pretty awful when it was a Morris. (My Grandad drove one)

You are right though that the UK industry is useless at managing a mass production car company. That's why they've all gone bust or been taken over. But we're very good indeed at producing niche models. (With a few exceptions, such as AC)

My first car..... ah the nostalgia. But it didn't have a Dodge Viper engine like the Bristol.

Over here the thing to use was the Buick/Rover 3.5 litre V8. Mine was the mighty 1.6 litre! I couldn't insure anything bigger :( .
