Alonso Penalised For Blocking Massa

Recommended Posts

Exactly... out of a whole season, ONE event.... I mean right now he's getting away with keeping an advantage by cutting a chicane... something Schumi was criticised for in a previous race even though he eventually let him back past.

and now ITV showing bias yet again

"Hopefully Schumacher announcing his retirement"

Schumacher should have been punished for blocking at the start at Turkey where he made three lane changes.

Schumacher should have been punished for defending his position by driving over chicanes at Hungary, which he did twice.

Schumacher got punished for parking his car so conveniently at Monaco.

Schumacher got also punished at Hungary.

Alonso got punished at Hungary.

Alonso is given a highly dubious punishment at Monza.

Yes, you are absolutely right, the FIA and the race stewards are targeting Ferrari

ITV are b#####ds

Yep, pandering to the will of the Alonso horde again... hmm. I hear them defending Alonso no matter what, and the penalty in Hungary was earned with his gesticulations.. I never used to find Alonso so irritating as I do now.

Schumacher should have been punished for defending his position by driving over chicanes at Hungary, which he did twice.

Yes and he eventually let the other guy past.... but I bet looking through your blue tinted glasses you conveniently forgot that, huh. You also conveniently forgot the car damage that Schumacher had which led to him having problems with the chicanes. Let me know when car damage becomes a punishable offence.

Schumacher got also punished at Hungary.

Make up your mind, which is it?

Either way ITV have always jumped on the slightest opportunity to criticise Schumacher and ALWAYS defend Alonso.

and now Alonso battling Heidfeld is "bad news for Alonso" :eusa_think: You'll excuse me if I don't get the violins out as RACING IS HIS JOB!!! <_<

It was Alonso's first race with a new spec engine, he gets no penalty and another new engine because he retired.

Michael also gets the new Monza spec engine next race.

Two different instanses. Schu got penalised after quali. You do have one short memory.

Did you even wahtch todays race? Did you have the sound off? Or goes the commentry of the ITV crew in the one ear and immediately out the other?

Total waste of time discussing with you.

Are you ****ing retarded? Please find a track map, see where the 3rd sector at Monza starts, and then come back, then you can explain to me why Massa was 3 tenths slower on his last sector than a time he set earlier in the session.

i suggest you watch the video.massa was nowhere near enough to be blocked.looking at the qualifying lap were this was to have happened, alonso had to have been at least a half a second ahead of massa throughout the lap.i agree with fb,there was a fix,and how typical of all ms fans to think this happened.everything and anything will be done to secure a championship for the red team.it has been a common occurance for the last ten years.i'm glad schmucker is history!!!

Im sorry tifosi but Alonso DID NOT block Massa, nor did he hinder his lap! I may grossly dislike Alonso but he is absolutely correct in saying F1 is no longer a sport. I find it quite unacceptable how Renault are now being penalised to allow Ferrari an advantage in the WCC which is ridiculous. Martin Brundle was absolutely right to criticise the penalty and question Max Mosley the way he did. Max clearly doesnt know what hes talking about since he has never driven an F1 car (as far as im aware) and every F1 driver minus Massa and Schumi snr have said Alonso did NOT block Massa and Alonso DID NOT hinder Massa's lap.

You are not getting any argument from true tifosi or any others with a brain, but then again this is F1. This was just as hair-brained as are many of the steward decisions have been this year, but in the end it does not matter.......kablammo!!!!!!..............

Pumpdoc, the fact alonso's engine failed is not the point. At the end of the day he shouldn't have been penalised and the fact he was is unacceptable! I know you accept this but many others don't and won't because to them its not the sport that counts, it's Ferrari and Ferrari alone. Disgusting. If your a true F1 fan then the sport itself will always come first, drivers and teams are just a part of the sport many of us truly love!

I tend to disagree, the stewards for this race as for any other were 1/3 local 2/3 outside. Don't lay the blame for this on Ferrari, many drivers bitch about things to the stewards and get turned down.

Pump mate I was actually criticising many ''false'' fans who support Ferrari JUST BECAUSE!

The fact the stewards penalised Alonso is beyond me really, I just don't understand it as from what I can see Massa WAS NOT blocked deliberately!

My two cents is that this was a shockingly bad decision from the FIA. Alonso did not block Massa and they in my opinion have unfairly influenced the WDC.

Some of the comments made by Montoya when exiting the sport are ringing true in my ears. Bring back the racing and get rid of the politics!! If the sport continues to track down this political path and don't ensure fair racing and decision making I will begin to lose interest.

Just like Fisi went belly-up for Fernando?

But Fisi and Fernando are at least in the same team. But what was Heidfeld doing? Was there any comment to that effect on ITV?

Speed TV commentary is very politically correct; very american... European commentators are much more opinionated. Spanish TV said that Lauda had mentioned on RTL that the penalty on Alonso was completly uncalled for...

And, btw, what was up with Heidfeld. Incredible how he let MS through in the first corner; and everybody else until FA came up right behind him. It almost seemed as his sole intention in the race was to bloch FA.

I am sure all the drivers at the race debrief were warned not to get in the way of Schumacher or Alonso in the opening laps. If you look at the first corner, heidfeld got ahead, but schumacher came up behind him and forced his way through Heidfeld knowing that heidfeld wouldn't be too aggressive against MS at Italy in front of the Tifosi. These people are human too and feel the pressure. I am sure Schumacher has raced in atleast a few races to know how to take advantage of such situations. Remember is quote earlier? "take all risks possible...."

Absolutely correct. I don't think the sport can take many scandals before it loses all credibility.
