It just seemed you made that post, especially the way you commented on my views that Irvine was put on a deliberate slowdown, in a manner which was aimed at being a putdown. I do not take it well when people put me down just because i have different views to them.

I am willing to let this slide anyway it was frankly stupid. I like this forum, it makes a refreshing break from all the computer tech forums that i run. PC's are my expertise but F1 is my hobby for sure and its nice to find a forum that allows such open discussion of the sport.

Nope, never change your views, Shane, that's what so great about this forum - the differing views. Contrary to your beliefs, though, while I admire MS talent, I do like Alonso, Button, Raikkonen, etc, so I am not completely biased - honest!

Seriously, Shane...is good to see you having the maturity to back up when you realize you have overreacted. Like you said this is a wonderful forum and one of the biggest pros of any forum is the chance to exchange POVs in a civilized way. I know sometimes is hard to tell when someone is being serious or not. I still think that Cav, for example, isn't half the ogre you think he is (and he think he is, for that matter! )

I got sometimes very angry at some posts in here, and sometimes (like today) I even learn about my own bias and that is always good. That way I can sooner say in a completely objective manner: "Renault and FA are the best team and driver, respectively, that ever were and all the rest is a bunch of losers!"
