Besides the stupid SC coming gout every 2 friggin laps made Button appear closer to Alonso than he really was on Pace.

no, the SC came out once for about 7 laps. JB didnt gain or lose out, Alonso did gain as he dived into the pits for fuel. JB seemed to have more pace than alonso before alonso made his final stop, but like u say, there's no way we'll know what would've happened.

Just from the fact that JB went from 14th to 2nd before the race was even at halfway point, i think is reason enough that his win was no fluke.

This topic isnt meant to be me saying JB's great and should be world champion, its only about the hungary 06 race cos people kept saying it was such a lucky win

Fair enough! I agree with you that it was no fluke. He won it because he made no stupid mistakes and because he was the best driver in the best car that day. The rest are all "what if" scenarios. This said, I still am no fun of JB! :mf_tongue:

That is not nessecarilly true as i know a man from England who hates the cold wheather and fells perfectly comfortable in 40 degree temperatures. Odd isnt it.

not a proper englishman like me then. bring on the cold! in the summer i melt! but seriously, i expect DC and webber look so glum cos their car isnt blowing everyone away straight out of the box, plus they're having some reliabilty issues. Best to have them now rather than during the season though

I'm the opposite Ykick, an Aussie who really loves the cold!

DC is never happy, unless he has just won a race.

It must be poo to be unhappy for so, so long. Mark Webber will make sure David is never happy again.

I have seen that look before, that is an ancient gesture made by cannibals. They stick their middle fingers in their ears, open their eyes wide and grin at someone when they want to say "you look tasty".

His eyebrows make him look evil in that picture.

He may be evil but he is also happy

Maybe he could take out a couple of his opponents by eating them :D

CH: "Er David, Mark was 8 seconds quicker than you on that last lap, anything to do with you looking like Yoda and not being able to reach the pedals proerly?"

DC: "I canny hear yooooo"

It wasn't a fluke, he won because he drove well, and made the right decisions, nothing more too it.

You are a legend. I just thought you should know :)

Who gives a Sh#t how or why or who or when. He won. End of story. You drive, you win, you get ten points for it, you still have people slating you, but you can stick two fingers up cause its still a win. No matter what.

BTW, nice analysis Jem. :clap3:

Which is proably why she liked your analysis as it was very pro Button and if she is a member of a forum called jensonbutton.com then its safe to say that she is very pro Button aswell.

Who gives a sh*t? I give a sh*t. That's why i'm on a Formula One forum; to discuss the finer details with people who are fit to make in depth analysis. Why does it hurt so many people to hear that maybe Jenson's win was a bit lucky? Why can't people accept that until he wins on a regular basis in 'normal' circumstances that many will question his credentials? What's wrong with that?

I'm not slating him, i'm open minded but can we stop having this pointless deciding on what side of the fence we're all on. It means nothing. All it does is show that some people don't feel cosy unless they have made their minds up for sure about something. There's time for Jenson and the jury is still out. I hope he has a fine season.

Odd thing, perception. Chris Amon never did win a race but is hailed as one of the greats. These days, what with the interweb and such and with every man and his dog proferring up their wisdom, he would probably have been labelled as "not proved anything until he wins a race". Damon Hill was a WDC but some people maintain it was the car that did it. What about Irv the Swerve? Multiple winner. Can't say I rated him much though. Or one hit wonder Jean Alesi? If it hadn't rained then Button would not have won that race. It was fortuitous for him. I can't say that it bothers me one way or the other. But, as Steve says, he's got plenty of time. Rating a driver's ability on number of wins is fraught with danger. So I don't do it.

So therefore by your logic I should be the most pro Button here as I am an admin.

Perhaps you shouldn't judge people based on where they post? Girl_Racer isn't a biased poster there so your generalisations are poor.
