ykickamoocow 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 Could anyone tell me what BHQ means? I just checked the internet and it apparently stands for 2 things. 1. Biblia Hebraica Quinta (whetever the hell that is ) 2. Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia - Broken Hill (Airport Code)

goferrarigo 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 In what context did you hear that??? maybe it was a typo for BBQ
Shane2 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 No it is definately to do with Car engines... something to do with Torque i believe i just dont know what
David Adams 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 BHP is the European standard for a cars horse power, its a mix between torque and horsepower in some strange way! Im sure you can google it further for a more in depth explanation...
Shane2 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 I know what BHP is I was asking about BHQ BHQ seems to (apparently) be something totally different
goferrarigo 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2007 Battle HeadQuarters??? lol maybe it is a typo for bhp
Shane2 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2007 No it is not. The video said 740 BHP 650 BHQ
goferrarigo 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2007 No it is not. The video said 740 BHP 650 BHQ i'm guessing here, but could it be like km and meters....
Shane2 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2007 I doubt that, engine power measurement is pretty much a universal standard
pumpdoc 2 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 No it is not. The video said 740 BHP 650 BHQ Probably 'torque'
Autumnpuma 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 Bhp is, as we all know, 'brake horsepower'. I have no clue what the hell 'bhq' would mean. 'brake horseq----'? What the hell would be measured like that? Brake horsequotient? Since we all seem to be experts on everything, I'm surprised nobody knows this.....
Shane2 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 It did seem like an out of place thing, its strange that it is rarely used
jackgarrett 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 it coudnt be kilowats becasue in kilowats is
dribbler 6 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 It isn't torque, that's measured in Newton metres (nm) or the imperial equivalent of pounds per square foot (lb ft).
dribbler 6 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 No it is not. The video said 740 BHP 650 BHQ What video Shane? Can you give us a bit more about which context it was used in.....i'm intrigued now.
Shane2 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 http://www.eiptuning.com/eip/video/R32/R32...AWD_DYNO_02.mpg That was the vid
Quiet One 15 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 http://www.eiptuning.com/eip/video/R32/R32...AWD_DYNO_02.mpg That was the vid It says BTQ, not BHQ, BTQ indicates the brake torque. Maybe I'm missing somethings.
Autumnpuma 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 BHQ is apparently a turbo mod called 'Blaster'. Hit this and search around: http://blasterhq.proboards5.com/index.cgi?board=aftermktpts Since the video you posted was from a site 'eiptuning.com' and they are heavily into turbos, I would guess that the BHQ is a turbo measurement specific to the 'Blaster' product. That's my guess...
dribbler 6 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 It says BTQ, not BHQ, BTQ indicates the brake torque. Maybe I'm missing somethings. Damn you Shane you had us on a wild goose chase! Yes Andres, it is BTQ and as you say, this refers to torque.
Autumnpuma 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2007 I just looked at the video closer after reading Andre's comment. D'OH!!!!!! You are correct, sir, it does say BTQ.

In your face, Mike! Ok, now two more things: 1) Here is the formula for calculating BTQ, it could be written in arameic as far as I know: BTQ=(-T.sub.M *GR)+(P.sub.R *A)+(P.sub.F * where: T.sub.M equals the torque output of the motor as known by the motor speed and currents passing through the motor windings. Motor torque, TM, is shown as being negative because positive motor torque is assumed to accelerate the vehicle in the forward direction. GR equals gear ratio of the axle drive gears coupled to the motor. A and B are constants which convert the rear and front brake pressures, respectively, to brake torques. 2) What the heck are you doing watching these videos??? Millions of honest porn workers are breaking their backs everyday so as to give you free porn on the net and you waste your time watching this? I lost all respect for you, Shane.
