You're forgetting about DC! He did very well today & deserves a thumbs up  !

You may have noticed all those scored points... otherwise I would have commented on Webber's race as well... and put Rosberg in for a shout with all his mistakes.

So no I'm not forgetting about DC.

It does'nt matter if he did'nt score points! Apart from the driveshaft problem he had, it was a great race by DC hands down!

I didn't say he didn't drive a great race, perhaps try reading my posts before responding?

I was posting about the point scorers - the top 5 to be exact, no one else so I didn't forget him, I didn't intend to comment on anyone under those positions. I didn't comment on Nico, Webber, Coulthard, Heiki or Schumacher, where all had a race one side of the scale or another.

Understand?

That was some race..........

Massa, Hamilton, Nick, DC were gr8. it was really a shame for Redbull otherwise DC would have been in points.

My pick of the day is Nick's move on Alonso and DC's move on fisi....

Alonso n Kimi were not their usual self...dont know what was the problem...

Well I expect everyone got bad PPP results today! What on earth was up with Kimi and Alonso both being outperformed all weekend by their team-mates??

Nick Heidfeld - what a pass on Alonso, round the outside! Heidfeld has been perfect every race so far, and put Kubica in the shade again.

Hamilton continues to amaze us, although I think from now on we're just going to expect podium finishes. The first win is getting closer! Lewis had the upper hand on Alonso all weekend.

Coulthard -VERY disappointing about him breaking down, he drove an amazing race while it lasted, I was thinking of ykick and how annoyed he must be!

Yes my PPP wont be good this round. I really expected Kimi and Alonso and the Renault's to be more competitive.

Thanks for thinking of me :) You are right as i was extremely annoyed as it was his best drive since Monaco last year. Both Coulthard and Webber deserved points more that Fisi and Trulli today.

Not one to complain and then sit doing nothing:

Lewis Overkill

It appears this weekend we couldn't go a couple of minutes without hearing about Lewis Hamilton. While I understand he's doing extremely well, I can no longer support him because I feel sick to death with hearing about him. I know I am not alone in this, so do you realise if anything you will take support away from Lewis?

We rarely see positions below 6-7 and instead it would be nice if the commentators could keep us up-to-date with how the race is going for other people, there are 22 drivers out there not 1.

So many times talk of other drivers is cut short to cut to Lewis's dad, is this necessary? Surely comments from Alonso or even team personnel are more important than a relative? Sure it is nice for his dad that he is doing so well, but it is crazy.

I know this will probably not go further than the first person who reads it, like previous e-mails which I've heard little back from, but I feel if I don't express my view then I have no right to expect anything to change.

I hope the ITV team acknowledge these e-mails, as I'm sure there will be many and if they feel they are unreasonable perhaps someone should do a count of how many times Lewis Hamilton was mentioned.

I have noticed from speaking to others, that the support of Jenson has increased since ITV stopped mentioning him left, right and centre. Now Hamilton has had his first few races, isn't it time to wind down a bit?

Kind Regards,

Kay.

That would be like the German media being asked to stop focusing on Schumi. When you have a driver at the forefront of the sport (and emerging as a genuine title contender in one of the biggest sports in the world) its bound to create some excitement.

atleastthistimewegottohearraikkonenandhisindescernablegruntsinthepressconference

.

I never personally supported jenson before Lewis came in, and I don't plan to change that at all. I would also like to point out that most of the time ITV have absolutely no control over the pictures that they recieve.

Honestly, though we only get ITV commentary from start to the finish line, I didn't find it that bad. I quite felt like raving myself, Alonso's performance did put things in rather stark contrast.

I never said they did have control over the pictures, I said the commentators should mention other drivers.

I know people who now support him who didn't when ITV hyped him up...

So I imagined the sections they did about Kubica and Button then?

Nope it was during the buildup. And Hamilton was fighting for the lead of the race, I don't think he got excessive coverage

Then it has no relevance to the point I was making which was about during the race...

You may think the coverage was acceptable, but a lot of people don't, including me. So I wrote an e-mail.

I can imagine it now

"Lewis Hamilton is on the track, but we cannot update you on his progress because people are demanding that we stop talking about him"

Now that just sounds stupid! If people stopped talking about him completely, even during the race, he'd just quit being an F1 driver & become homeless! Don't see that happening, do any of you people?

Oh dear, that's a drama queen of a comment.

I said: "isn't it time to wind down a bit"

Seems you didn't read the e-mail very carefully.

Good thing about Fox Sports Latin America coverage: they are always focused on the race and not interviewing Massa's Dad. Their chats are usually not too intrusive and when the on board camera appears, they hush to let you hear the engines. And they are argentinean and one of them is particularly funny in his comments (even if I am not sure he does that on purpose). On the race restart after the safety car they commented about Alonso pressing Hammy to get closer to Massa "Alonso is saying to LH 'touch Massa's tail, he likes it!"

Cons: They are not

The only plus for yesterday's race is that it looks like Red Bull are getting more competitive. I think we can all agree so far the order is Ferrari, McLaren and BMW and im hoping that in the next group Red bull is close to being faster than Renault, Williams and Toyota who are all currently in the 2nd group of cars.

 and are you sure it said tail and not a##,......

Atleast you had engish commentating.... i had freagin chinese, all i looked forward to was when they shut up and switch on the team radio.. which is how i got to know dc was going to retire.

only Pro:- Only 2 ads for the whole race...

But amazing race.. worth getting up for and even the language didn't bother me that much due to the exitcement of the race, and offcourse this thread helped.

Thanks to all the people who were here posting during the race and made it more exicting...

ESPecially, Kay, mikathegreat2(whats ure name btw) , ykick, raikonen_rulez, stopkidding, player 1

Well, their comments were in spanisj, not in english.

I only read the thread once the race was over, but I find it quite amusing to read Ykick's desperate posts, sorry Ykick.

At least your driver had an amazing day, today. We all noticed it despite the crappy RBR car. Good to see old DC still has some inside him and compensated for the Melbourne fiasco.

Glad i could amuse you. It was hard to follow the race as i was watching live timing and it kept screwing up. Alot of the information i was getting about the race was on this forum so i kept having to get people to clarify what they were talking about.

I never doubted that DC still had it in him. Brundle really enjoyed Coulthard's overtaking maneuver on Fisi as he came from a long way back and made the move stick.

And you HAD to bring back THAT overtaking move, right? <_<
