Lets see how to goes. I think Ferrari know they might be excluded , thats the feeling I have. McLaren is innocent. If they really wanted to copy the design of the F2007 they might have copied the stolen drawings at thier centre in Woking instead of sending Coughlan to a common fax and copy center. And, if it was the case, Coughlan and Stepney wouldn't have offered themselves to Toyota and Honda... Did Coughlan tell De La Rosa something about Ferrari's setup despite Neale and Dennis told him to stop talking with Stepney after Nigel revealed him of Ferrari's illegal device for Mebourne? This is not Dennis or McLaren's fault! So to me it is fair and square, if McLaren is penalized the sport is dead. If McLaren is excluded, F.1 will collapse and I'll be happy cause it would be the right punishment for FIArrari's arrogance
cristiano84 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2007 And, anyway, the WMSC has already examinated the McLaren cars at the first hearing and found that no parts of the Ferrari F2007 were copied

Kati 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2007 I really don't think it's about copying. It's about spying. If I know everything you're doing, and how you car works, I can make mine do it better... I also want to believe something will actually happen... I don't think it will, seriously, but I want it to.
cristiano84 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2007 So why Spyker and Toyota were not penalized for having drawings from a rival team? What's the problem with McLaren? Is just the fact they are challenging the immense cash-producing machine that Ferrari is for Formula 1?

McLaren will get their current points deducted. Max. They won't be banned for next season. And F1 will survive that "catastrophe". Would survive a Ferrari banning, and obviously a Renault, BMW and Williams triple-banning. It survived a 6 car race at Indy, after all.

If I know everything you're doing, and how you car works, I can make mine do it better... I also want to believe something will actually happen... I don't think it will, seriously, but I want it to. I think it's about establishing to what extent Mac knew about Coughlan's bad behaviour, how they acted about it, what they did with any information they gained and how any of that has affected current standings. To put it simply that is. I also wouldn't mind seeing something ACTUALLY HAPPEN in this story apart from the original bad deed, like you I doubt much will.
