"On the rare occasions that I play a racing game I often think ‘you know what this needs? A boss battle or two.’ A Formula One game in which, suddenly, everybody else has a monster truck and their sole desire is to squash you. The Masters have returned.
"People were being killed left, right and center back then," [Phil Hill] says. "I became hyper-sensitive to the danger, and wasn't sure that I wasn't going to kill myself. As a result, racing brought out the worst in me. Without it, I don't know what kind of person I might have become. But I'm not sure I liked the person I did become, because I was selfish, irritable and defensive."

And when you really step back, we have Macca, Reno, WIlliams, Ferrari, Toyota all pretty much level pegged out there. There could be some interesting racing coming up.
However, I do expect him to actually be a bit DC'ish...he's 40...his peripheral vision will be pretty bad. First corner prang at Valencia is my brave prediction.

"But with Ferrari and Schumacher taking a gamble, with the 40-year-old answering the team's call to arms in the wake of Felipe Massa's absence, Jordan feels Raikkonen will suddenly be reinvigorated.
"Well done to Ferrari for making this happen, but especially well done to Michael Schumacher because he has nothing to gain out of this, and a lot to lose," remarked Jordan on BBC Radio Five Live.
Jordan, who gave Schumacher his F1 debut in 1991, added: "I've been massively critical of Raikkonen, and I think this is going to be the big wake-up call for him.
"You will see a new Raikkonen because he will not want to be disgraced by Michael Schumacher. "

I don't expect him to do well at the first race but if he stays for the rest of the season and goes back to the racer's mentality (and we all know how his mentality was/is), it's very probable he 'll be the top gun again!
I give him 3 races to shake that rust off him!!!
Obviously he is serious about this and he is not your ordinary driver/guy!!!

Michael knows he can still mix it with these guys regardless of not driving for so long. He is that good. So Michael has a new car, new tyres and a new track to contend with come Valencia in a couple of weeks. If anyone can do it Michael can.
Lets not forget the shocking accident that brought this to be, my thoughts are still with Felipe and I will be just as excited as I am now (with the return of the king) see Felipe line up on the grid in Melbourne in 2010.
To those who doubt Michaels chances, you can never disregard a champion of Michaels calibre EVER.

"Giancarlo, you are still two seconds a lap slower than Fernando, this cannot be possible you have the same fuel load, I know you have some understeer but you cannot be two seconds slower, COME ON"!!!! - Alan Permane, Fisichellas race engineer, 2006 Australian Grand Prix
"We're lucky we don't build aeroplanes" - Mark Webber on Red Bulls reliability issues at the Australian Grand Prix 2008.
