Classics, I'm sure.

Excuse my ignorance as road cars are not really my thing.

Those car really approved the time test: if you put them side by side with competitors of their era you

Rich b@stard!

One of my friends told me three months back that he will buy an S-Class in three years, now he has already made enough money to buy one, when I asked him why has he not brought one yet, he said, he will buy one in thirty three months, so I asked him again, why can't he buy since he has enough money, he replied that he is now going to earn enough money to maintain one.

I think there is a misundestanding: I drive every day an honest VW Golf -not a VW pretending to be a premium car e.g. AUDI!- but my heart belongs to Alfas. But it is hard to find so many mistakes and bad decisions taken regarding one of the first names in the auto industry! Is devastating to see today alfa

Argento, I agree with you about Fiat and Alfa, its not a bad thing though. FIAT seem to be getting things right lately (except Bravo Sales) Alfa 8c having a Ferrari/Maserati derived engine is a good thing actually. No matter what they share, Alfas seem to be getting their life back. Alfa 8C is one of the most beautiful cars I have ever touched!!!! :D Its an art, why did they create it? Is it to give guys like me sleepless nights? yes. Oh no, I am talking too much! :P

You can still be a proud Alfa fan.

I think I not explained myself properly: Alfa and ferrari were archi - rivals! So a Ferrari rebadged "8 C" is like the next gen MB SL500 will be a rebadged BMW 650i!

Regarding the 8C is more of the same thing. From the design point it added nothing except beauty. But no new ideas at all. Aston Martin did a better job retelling the past. A Citroen C3 picasso is more important as an ideas showcase than a 8C. The 8C follows the Pininfarina-Ferrari tradition: nothing more -and nothing less- than beauty and proportions but not new design ideas (Maybe those guys at Nissan could ask how to design a nice GTR!). Take a look to a 365 GTB of the late 60s and then look at the new 599 GTB: the same design. Thats why imo Giugiaro is so great: he can do full function beauty designs even with cheap cars!

Nevertheles, the 8C is like Grace Kelly or Brigitte Bardot on their glorious days: a classic beauty!

I can't argue with that Argento.

Atleast they didn't kill Alfa the way they did to Lancia.

But I love the 8C, no matter what you say, I know its a pointless car, it can't even Handle as well, its interior material quality is poor, its not no where as fast as the other cars that costs as much and despite ill handelling the car still suffers from poor ride. But its a pure beauty, thats the point of that car, Ferrari and Maserarti are never going to let Alfa build a car that can go better than theirs, but I don't care about that car's flaws, I will still buy one if I had that money.

On the other hand, an INSIDER (not Sid) told me that 8C was sold out not because of its beauty, but as ab investment for the future! :P

Yes, Aston Martin has that something left in them, I thank Ford for not screwing it up.

Has anyone heard a DB9 scream pass?
