When Montoya came into F.1 the media said a new Senna was coming...Montoya came in F.1 as a gret personality and this made him different than other rookies.The media soon created the "carachter" Montoya and this often happens with drivers who are already superstars thanks to their Indycar success. So,if they just do a decent result or a spectacular overtaking move they soon get overrated.This ruined JPM...people don't understand now why he is so much slower than Kimi since IN THEIR MINDS Montoya is a superstar and should be dominating.

Kaciaj, I never said he was better than Kimi. In fact in my driver rankings he is in the 4th spot after FA, Kimi & MS. I rate these drivers as superior, but I personally like his driving, and there is no harm in it.

This thread that you created ( I think) is about Button boasting that he is better than Kimi and FA, and that is not just questionable but needs to be dismissed as utter rubbish. No need to trash JPM or anyother driver so that Button can go scot free.

Instead all that they just can say is that JPM's performance is bad. Who is talking about JPM, I know Button didn't. He only mentioned Kimi's and FA's name. I cannot agree with you there young sir. JPM is a proven winner having won in the US and in F1. JB is yet to win an F1 race.

I'm afraid there is no logic in claiming that JB is better than JPM

Every Driver must feel that given the right equipment the can be champion. I would expect this answer from any of them.

I will not attack him for saying what he said.

There are a couple of posters though that seem to think that belittling others somehow makes their position stronger. Not sure what value there is on comments like that.

at the moment, and most probably since the CART/IRL split in '96, definitely not, but before that it was F1's biggest motorsport rival. The U.S. obviously proved alot to Sir Frank Williams hiring JV, JPM and Zanardi (the only real flop of the three), so I think I'll trust his judgement.
