Team-mate Wars: Round 17 Brazil

Recommended Posts

Why is Alonso star of the race? Should be Schumacher, who was one of the few drivers to make up a few places.

I agree on that he surged up 4 places I think it was and it was impressive for him to have done it in a Ferrari which hasn't been developed on at all for a long time to the new highly updated Renault. Rubens would have got the podium ahead of Alonso if Ferrari had got it right, it is a shame they didn't because it would have delayed proceedings.

Of course I did, I'm just amazed that he could perform so badly in comparison to his team-mate with that advantage. I indicated in my emoticon that I was looking around nervously because Sergeant Sato was afoot and he does not appreciate criticism directed at his namesake.

Well it seems for once we agree. ;) After all Sato gained many positions through other retirements, but I do not remember anyone retiring from infront of Button, which in other races seems to have hidden BAR's actual lack of pace.

Indeed.

Even though I am a Button fan I would really like to see Williams beating BAR next season like they are doing currently and showing Jenson what comes with constantly changing your mind!

How did Button do better then Sato? 4th - 8th , or 19th - 10th...... hmmmm

Are you seriously suggesting that Sato did well to finish ahead of the Minardis, Jordans and other vastly inferior cars! He still failed to score any points and in just one race Jenson scored double the points that Sato has scored all season (Jenson did this whilst lacking straight line speed and whilst having tyre graining problems)

Sato also had a better engine than Jenson!

So finishing in 4th, far behind the top three in a Ferrari makes Schumacher "driver of the race"...

my o my, how the mighty have fallen!

shanghai shall be an interesting race as sato will be getting a shanghai special which is gonna be a one race engine with 1000hp apparently, so if he dosnt beat button in shanghai with such a big advantage then he really is one olf the worst drivers ever to have graced f1 with his presence!

He had the Japan special for the Brazilian Grand Prix believe it or not.

i knew that already! But that was only 7 extra hp! The shanghai one is going to be the most powerful on the grid, and is 1000hp+ Jenson however will have a race old engine! Now i dont think sato beating jenson at shanghai is out of the question but we will know why! If however he dosnt beat jenson, or dosnt finish close to jenson then he really will have been proved utter Sh#te!

to quote from this weeks autosport,

''Sato To Get 'Screamer'

Takuma sato will finish his BAR-Honda career at the chinese GP with what may be the most powerful 3.0-litre V10 F1 engine ever built.

He will have a 'shanghai special' one-off engine fitted into his BAR 007, tuned for outright power instead of being optimised for a two-race life.

The engine is likely to peak to around 950bhp and will rev to well over 19,000rpm - figures that have been unattainable under the 2005 ''two-race'' engine rule.

The decision to produce the unit came after Sato was given a strategic engine change for the Brazillian GP. His accident with michael schumacher at the beligian gp two weeks earlier was punished with a 10-place grid penalty for Brazil. The team therefore decided to change the engine in his car for the latest spec unit, which he will also use at the japanese GP. After that race Sato will be entitled to one further engine change, giving Honda the opportunity to build a one-off.''

If this does not benefit him then sato trul is absolute bollocks!

If!?!

Sato truly is absolute bollocks regardless. We have nearly three years of racing experience that prove it.

Surely putting Sato in a 1000mph machine is a recipe for a big accident? I hope so!!

Hehe, thats evil! :D

Maybe Kimi should be put in a car that doesn't rev over 3000r/pm :eusa_think:

That would be kind of funny in a way - taking out his team-mate and a driver who already thinks very little of him! But at the same time of course I would be angry. sato you still havent explained to me why you dislike JB so much!

I don't really dislike JB (i dislike when he talks himself up like superman, but thats about it). What i actually dislike is the amount of hype he gets, mainly, well pretty much only from the UK.

You don't even live in UK, I read a lot of f1 mags & tabloids from england, and whilst I admit Button got super-hyped back in 2000, cos he had had such a successful background in karting and F3, these days he isnt hyped up as being brilliant at all. The only media that likes to sing Button's praises is f1 racing magazine - but even that mag is realistic and is still going on about how bloody great schumi, kimi & alonso are. So really sato there is no reason to be angry, and its not jb's fault even if the media really did hype him up
