Team-mate Wars: Round 17 Brazil

Recommended Posts

How did Button do better then Sato? 4th - 8th, or 19th - 10th...... hmmmm

3 out of his way at the start to begin with, plus he was down in 19th due to his own errors.

pretty much as I expected, the planet-f1 team got it right with pretty much every team. Montoya was my Star of the Race. Beat Kimi on pure pace and did nothing wrong, no matter what some say, and took a well deserved victory, but I see your point Cav, Michael did a pretty good job.

montoya was star of the race but alonso was star of the weekend! :D So my vote goes to King Alonso

As of star of race i would give that to Michael Schumacher. Alonso did get the title, but it was not really much question of it after start (beside possible equipment failures). I would give Alonso star of the year reward assuming there is one. Montoya did quite well i have to admit and is close contender for the star of the race title, but i still would give this one to Michael Schumacher because lets be honest -- how many actually thought he was going to finish before Fisichella? He actually passed Fisi who later got him back after SC, but in the end there was no question of 4th place.

Now now children, Sato was on a one stopper hence the lack of an amazingly quick lap, since your either heavy with fuel or when ur light your tyres are pretty screwed up anyway.

As to it being his own errors putting him there, i was pretty sure this thing went on a race by race basis, not a 'you had a problem last race' basis.

WHERES THE JUSTICE!!!!!!

I think the round should go to montoya, not alonso just cuz he is the new champ

Montoya should have played the selfless role of team-mate but did not. I expect this cost him the Star of the Race points...

Passing Fisi counts for nothing nowadays!

Im sure I actually say the SC passing him twice on its slow down lap...

Schumacher drove very well, but was not star of the race.

Definately Alonso or Montoya depending on how you look at it.

Well, Alonso achieved minimum he should have had (3rd with both mclarens without problems) and Montoya barely beat KR. Of course if you consider Montoya winning KR barely such a big achievement...

Tyres are made to last a race, if Sato had screwed them up by half distance that is hardly any credit to his driving.

Like I said, he had an updated engine and still didn't put in a faster lap.

Kay_Zee, having a heavier fuel load destroys the tyres, even though they are designed to run much longer this year. This has been evident many times, and even commented on by the ITV commentary team several times.

I do agree with that, look at both Renaults at the end of the Monaco race!

You didn't hear the announcement that he got the Suzuka update engine early because he was allowed to change engine?

And I look on the reports and see Button had graining issues with his tyres, so that is another performance gap that just isn't there.

Face it, Button was the quicker of the two.

Some cases it happens, other times it is fine, depends how much care you take.

Of course I did, I'm just amazed that he could perform so badly in comparison to his team-mate with that advantage. I indicated in my emoticon that I was looking around nervously because Sergeant Sato was afoot and he does not appreciate criticism directed at his namesake.
