Button Faces Make Or Break Series-irvine

Recommended Posts

Yeah it could, but in my opinion, the article JR posted was an editorial discussing Irvine's quotes and also discussed how other 'teammate wars' may fare throughout '06, and that would really have thrown the thread off topic.

No, not a Button fan, but this thread is 4 pages long and it wouldn't be good to dramatically change topic this far in.

david richards has another go at button,at the Autosport International show

Button must deliver in 2006

Richards critical of Button

Richards knows Button better than most

David Richards, who first signed Jenson Button to BAR Honda for 2003, says the English driver must now start to deliver the wins in 2006. The former team boss accused Button of making 'hollow promises' on the road to a winless record after 100 career Grand Prix.

“You can't go on promising and under-delivering,” Richards told Reuters at the Autosport International show on Thursday.

Under Richards' leadership, the Honda works team finished second in the 2004 constructors' chase, while Button collected ten podiums.

But with Nick Fry in charge last year, the team floundered with the 007 and was even banned for two races after a run-in with the governing body.

Richards also criticised the new management for signing such a long term-deal with Button. Reportedly, the driver is now tied to Honda until the close of 2010. Again referring to Button's race record, Richards called the decision a 'brave' move that could fail.

And who really gives a toss what Richards thinks. He's obviously bitter otherwise he wouldnt keep attacking button and BAR/Honda

Jenson has never thrown a win away. Jenson has never had an opportunity to win. Richards should be attacking BAR/Honda (specifically Nick Fry) for not producing a better car and not his once golden boy, Jenson

errr..

back on topic

err..

button is crap because he hasnt won a race in over 100 starts.

:D

yeah ,me too

back on topic  button needs to beat his team mate and win a race otherwise 121 races without a win would provide more ammo to people to criticise him :P
