Yeah, i agree with Fed Up that Kimi raikonnoen has a smoother driving style than Feraando Alonso. They are both amazing drivers and as Autumnpuma said, their cars have very different driving characteristics.

i dont really like to bash a driver, but i do that when they start sayin things like MY DRIVER IS BETTER THAN YOURS! thats when i also start pointing finger at a driver. but i do belive there are few drivers who dont deserve their rides.

Well, I don't know where you have heard and what, but Renault test driver Heikki Kovalainen is a finn and he has said, that The Car is perfect to drive. And I think he shoul know.

You can tell the car is fantastically balanced by watching it on-track, it's so smooth. Compare that to say a Williams - now that must be a difficult car to drive!

With respect, Wez, I have heard from Steve Matchett on Speedtv that Alan Parmane was touting how ballanced the Renault was, neutral if you will. Now for those that don't know, Steve Matchett worked with Benneton and Parmane during the Schumacher years and talks quite frequently with members of his old team...and relates those discussions to the Speedtv audience. We in America have perhaps the best grasp of Renault.

If you have other information on it, please elaborate.

good list, i'll reconsider Liuzzi and Monteiro though... take into account, they have Sh#t cars bajo39. But then a guy like Alonso or Kimi did impress in lesser capable vehicles...

I think Sato is probably faster than Liuzzi and Albers at this stage in his career but feel free to add him. On the basis of his whole career, it's tough to justify his continued presence in the sport.

You must be really kidding. This guy is Renault's official test driver, but you think he can't give any opinion about car's behaviour, because he hasn't been driving in any other F1 teams. So what is the point of testing car anyway, if it is all about comparing it to super aguri

Renault didn't expect difficult car

While it may have taken them to third in the constructors championship and won the Monaco Grand Prix, Renault's 2004 F1 car was reportedly more difficult to drive than its predecessor.

"I must admit that we did not expect it to be more difficult to drive, because we did not make any decisions during the design process that were likely to affect this area," technical director Bob Bell explained. "According to the drivers, though, the car was less predictable on the limit and a little more nervous in fast corners. We therefore immediately began working to correct this: first isolating the problem, understanding it and then resolving it."

"We worked hard in this area and made significant progress," he added. "However, to completely eradicate the defect would have required the modification of fundamental parts of the car, such as the monocoque, and we chose not to pursue this route."
