Autumnpuma 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2006 kimi is the better driver so kimi will win the WDC its a s simple as that Since Kimi has yet to win the WDC, do you admit that Kimi hasn't been the best driver up to now? with a car half as good as alonsos hell wipe the floor with him By most people's reckoning, for the past few years he's had a car that was 'half as good as Alonso's'. He still couldn't win.... They make their cars out of steel? That explains everything.. Wait, wait, DC is the only thing made of steel on the grid...He had the costume and everything... mock 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2006 Kimi is no Schumacher and I don't even think he's an Alonso after this season... I don't see him being an equal rival for Fernando without an attitude adjustment. Brave words
mock 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2006 The vast majority of my posting on Karthikeyan is in response to the sensationalist rubbish that your lot post. If you simply accepted that Karthikeyan was undeserving of his position in F1 as the rest of us do, then there would be very little to talk about. You are a shameless liar. There are at least 20 NK threads started by you trashing him unjustifiably Just search for any of the 'Winners and Losers' or 'Teammate Wars' threads from 2005. Invariably, they contained discussion of Karthikeyan's mishaps over the race weekend. You are a shameless liar.Whichever channel we watch, we are all watching the same footage such is the way Formula 1 is broadcast. Karthikeyan of course deserved very little coverage for his efforts and ordinarily would have only been seen when he made a mistake or was being lapped but 2005 was a rather special year which saw him get a considerable amount of additional coverage. The biggest source was perhaps the qualifying system which effectively forced the director to take in a full lap of his but the US GP also provided a considerable amount of coverage. Ah! Indeed ! We were watching the same coverage, but you saw infinitely more footage of NK which enabled you to make your expert opinions and analysis of his driving. So you only saw his mistakes or when he was being lapped. Could have hardly been more than a few minutes every GP. But of course you of the eagle eye could see beyond the limits of your television screen. And you believe watching NK qualifying in a Jordan was enough for you to form your very stupid opinions. If there is something more dangerous than a complete fool, it is a fool like you with half knowledge and an inflated ego and opinion of his own views which he tries, by force of inane, insane and interminable unjustified and prejuidical arguments to imprint upon others, time after time There was hardly any coverage of NK in the USGP either - he head a gear problem and the focus was on MS and RB, with probably some focus on Monteiro. There you go promoting apathy again...Your stupid arguments have become extremely boringIts hardly worth wasting your time Dan: its clear to anybody Karty doesn't belong in F1. A certain level of intelligence and open-mindedness are required to have a useful discussion. Mock has neither and Cav refuses to adopt the latter. I've done my best to educate the Indians, unfortunately they seem very slow learners. I was done with you long ago, where did you pop up from again?? And the forum would be almost empty...does someone remembers the pre-NK era??? we were really happy here... Sure, patting each others backs and kissing Banjo's @SS edit: God, am I GOOD ! bajo39 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 You are a shameless liar. That's right, I saw more than I needed to of Karthikeyan. Take any lap, even take a single corner and you can tell he lacks car control... If you had any experience in motorsport, even a few years of watching motorsport, you would be able to make the same determination. Provided you weren't blinded by nationalism as you are now. I was done with you long ago, where did you pop up from again?? You were done with Murray? That's rich.

If you had any experience in motorsport, even a few years of watching motorsport, you would be able to make the same determination. Provided you weren't blinded by nationalism as you are now. If you lookd both monterio and NK had no car control but maybe it is that the car could not be controlled by anyone. sometimes in qaulifying they even showed thecar bumping and the commentators even commented on that. that is why you cannot justafiably say that he had no car control, now if in the williams (which we will see next year) if he still has no car control while wurz has then you say this statement. bajo39 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 If you lookd both monterio and NK had no car control but maybe it is that the car could not be controlled by anyone. sometimes in qaulifying they even showed thecar bumping and the commentators even commented on that. I did look, and throughout the season, my expert eyes saw that Monteiro had the better control of the EJ15. Certainly the Jordan was a difficult car for the two rookies to drive but Monteiro nevertheless set an astonishing, record level of consistency for a rookie in it. Karthikeyan on the other hand was erratic and this is reflected in the oft-repeated sentiment among his fans (the Indians) that he is "quick but erratic". that is why you cannot justafiably say that he had no car control, now if in the williams (which we will see next year) if he still has no car control while wurz has then you say this statement. Au contraire, mon ami. I can justifiably say that Karthikeyan lacks car control - see above. Now, I don't think we'll be seeing Karthikeyan in the Williams next year as you suggest because, unless you know something I don't, he will again be filling the role of PR representative to Tata on the testing team. This position doesn't generate much television coverage outside of, presumably, paid advertising in India...

I don't know, AJ..... I can tell car control by the line a driver takes on exit. It's a sure sign of control if the exit is tidy, lap after lap. Of course you can argue that the car makes the difference, but a good driver stays within the limits of the car. Nick and Fisico looked pretty good even in a Jordan. Compare Albers and Montiero; both have the same crap car, but Albers looks much more polished on exit.

Fisi and Nick i think had a better jorden, jorden seems to have gone downhill thus it's sale. Albers ahs done a very good job compared to monterio, who got taken by sato, but in new managment the car tends to improve more. To cut it short, we will never know the reality coz the relatily is hidden, we don't have telementry data or have paid that close attension to their races. of course it is easy to find excuses for nk but the may or may not hold true. And about apathy, i iwould still say that this discussion needs to shut down until more news of nk comes up, coz no one is going to change thier views, how muc ever you try, you can take a donkey to the water but can't take him drink can you? I hear you. To my eye, though, I'm convinced I see differences in driver styles that point to higher or lower skill levels. You are correct, we can't know for sure, but we can all see what we want to, I suppose....
cavallino 2 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 Certainly the Jordan was a difficult car for the two rookies to drive but Monteiro nevertheless set an astonishing, record level of consistency for a rookie in it. See that is where you lose credibility, you cite Monteiro of all people as an example, a driver guilty of at least an equal share of rookie errors, and who has continued making them this year, till the very last race. NK was erratic, but Monteiro managed the feat of being slow and erratic, the most disturbing thing about his driving is being perfectly content to potter around hoping that people will fall around him getting him something, it worked last year, but it did not this year.
