I doubt it. Michael Schumacher has a history of making mistakes when under real pressure like at Suzuka in 2003 but as far as i can remember i dont think Alonso has the same problem. I think so far this year the owest finishing place he has had is 5th which was in the USGP. Alonso has a new engine this weekend and Renault have already said that they are turning down the engine revs for the entire GP so a combination of those 2 factors are going to make the already super reliable Renault engine almost bulliet proof.

With all due respect, ykick, he may have made mistakes a few times, but considering the amount of times he's been at the sharp end, I don't really think he handles pressure too badly. Certainly a lot better than most of the other drivers I've seen in F1.

 my dad had 1 of those, surely they didnt have races for montego's!!!!! they go about 8mph

I kid ye not, Jemstride - they were all racing Montegos, which made it a bit more fair. I'd hate you to think I meant that Michael beat an F1 car in an Austin Montego!!!

Im not talking about regular F1 pressure. Im talking about if they screw up this race then they wll lose the championshp pressure.

Agreed - well said. I think we all should be grateful that we have had the opportunity to see the fight between Alonso & Shumacher, even if it hasn't lasted as long as we would have liked. Whoever wins, deserves the title - it's as simple as that.

Read what I write, it's been ascertained as NOT....

i dont think schuey is going to feel any pressure, i think he's going to dominate the whole weekend. But alonso not scoring is very unlikely indeed

Is very unlikely with a regular engine, but you heard that he is coming with a turned down rev engine we could see some surprises in that races and something we are forgeting is that not only engines fail in a car even a puncture can take you out the points, so let's wait and see. Ferrari said that they will give 20 extra hp to Michael's engine because they don't need to use that engine again, maybe some other drivers can do the same and if they do it will see FA having a real bad day with revs down.

Personally, I don't really see it, ykick, but I guess different people will have different opinions on this.

Come on Brad, you know me better than that!! :D Even if you have the best car, tyres, etc, you still have to win it. Plenty of drivers have had the best package & not won it. Don't get me wrong, I really want Schumacher to win, it would be a fitting end, but I will accept that whoever wins it, deserved to win it.

start talking sense and maybe 1 day i will agree with u on something! schu doesnt really have a history of making mistakes at the final round. Look at 1998, he was brilliant til he had a puncture. And 2000, he was perfect and took the title in japan

An interesting point made by Tony Jardine in his Sporting Life article is that it was the necessity to only score a single point, and thus not display your skill at driving fast, but at driving a steady unremarkable race that nearly caused Schumi's downfall at Suzuka 2003. The same could very well apply to Alonso.

All I can say is, the higher a monkey climbs up a tree, the more you see of it's ar$e!!

If you're going to be a supreme master then you're going to have to change your pic - it's disturbing, somehow!!

I do not know who you are anymore....you're sounding more and more like Alonso's sidekick.... do not turn to the dark side, be strong, resist those temptations.....

Not at all - I am just resisting the temptation to be biased towards Michael because I would like to see him win it as a fitting end to his career.

Agree with the above. I'm no fan of the chap (far from it, in fact), but I do hope he wins in Brazil. A fitting end. And Bruce, who steps up to the plate for you next season? Same question to all you Michael fans?

The King is dead, long live the King!

Except against an accident, maybe on the first corner, or while exiting the pits, or while overtaking a backmarker, or losing a wing, or many of many myriad possibilities :naughty:

Ah but the higher the monkey climbs the more branches in the way so you wont be able to see the monkey at all.

Which one. My tribute to Peter Brock or David Coulthards head.

Monkey's tend to live in the forest so odds are the tree how low branches in which he can hide.

DC's head is staying. That head has been with me for years and even at a glance all the regular members know that ive just posted by looking a David Coulthards smiling face.

how about a picture of DC winning, a moment of joy, like my JB pic

Ive looked into that but most of the photo's ive found are either fuzzy in key area's or DC's face is shaded.

I had a picture of Monaco 2006 which Chrstain Klien, Robert Doornbos and David Coulthard all standing behind a Red Bull car wearing capes but i got rid of it in favour of my Peter Brock tribute.

Well, he's not so much smiling as grimacing, really. And those eyes - very disturbing!! I just think you have to move with the times - nobody said it was going to be easy being supreme master!
