Why did Michael Schumacher pit late in the 1999 French GP???
He came in for a new steering wheel.

He came in for a new steering wheel.

For a bonus point, and a chance to go into the draw to win a drive in the F2007 Ferrari can you tell me what was wrong with the steering wheel that required it to be replaced???

His transmission was playing up as a result of paddle trouble on his steering wheel.

Im sure my answer was right... It was a gear shift problem with the paddles on the steering wheel!

Why would they go through all the effort of changing a steering wheel just for communication problems near the end of the race?

I'll see if I can check through an old old magazine and find the exact reason. For some reason I can remember something about a communication problem. The bonus point with that question was for the chance to go into the draw to drive the F2007 remember, so it was not going to be an easy one

Anyone else know for sure, what the exact problem was with Schueys steering wheel, in that French GP of 1999???

i didnt think webber had that many.

is it the correct answer?

I just checked. It is the correct answer though he did score 36 points in 2005 which a sizable chunk of his total number of points.
