Who Are Your Top 3 Drivers In F1?

Recommended Posts

If you discount the car they race in (as no two team's cars are the same), to accurately assess a "good" driver and a "top" driver you need to look at all the qualities that make a top driver.

1. Fitness 2. Racecraft 3.Courage 4.Leadership 5. Experience 6.Dedication 7.Good under pressure(in a race)

Alonso 8 8 8 7 7 7 8

Raikkonen 6 6 7 3 7 3 6

Button 7 7 7 6 7 7 7

Massa 7 7 7 5 6 7 6

Webber 9 8 8 8 6 8 7

Fisichella 7 6 6 5 8 7 5

Coulthard 8 7 7 6 9 8 6

RSchumacher 6 7 6 5 8 7 6

Trulli 6 6 6 5 8 7 5

Makes you think, doesnt it??

seriously hu the hell made up these absolutly stupid number ratings

Do you really care? Nobody agrees on them.

I wouldn't be surprised if webber beats DC next year.

Different people have different (perhaps odd?) ways of judging talent I guess. I wont put down anyone's opinion though.

ykickamoocow you should realise by know people dont judge ability based on pure win stats.

Oke. Imho the most under\estimated driver in F-1 is definately Nick HeidFeld. Have he equal (!) car (Ferrari?) as Kimi or Felipe - Nick could be as good as they are. And same with Jenson and Fernando.

Every statistic no matter how small is useful but what is most important is to put those statistics in the right context.

All i can do is just agree with your idea.

I agree with Nick being one of the most underrated. He's so underrated that he's often forgotten!

+1. Just like Stirling Moss sometimes forgotten when smb talking of F-1 WDCs. And SM is a better driver than half of them.

I agree, and I still Rate Nick higher than Kubica in the mean time.

I'll wait and see. Kubeetza is certainly more dynamic to watch than quick Nick and it may be that Kubeetza will score more points in '07....

Agree, the BMW pairing is an interesting one. I rate RK slightly higher than NH and I can't quite put my finger on why. Maybe it comes from when I seen Robert drive on the Friday of the 2006 Australian GP, the guy just seemed like he had something special about him.

RB could well be the best thing that has ever happened to NH career, RK will spur him on like he did in the later part of the 06 season.

I thought that as well.

I think it likely that Nicky will discover his limits and find them to be less than Kubeetza's, but we'll see. Nick is usually very quiet until he starts getting beaten. If we hear more comments from him, or see more mistakes, we will know he's found his limit.

I agree :D

Have you read the article about NH hoping to be in F1 for another 10 years?? I think that RK might be putting an end to them plans somehow.

Here is the link: I hope to race in F1 for another ten years - Heidfeld

Great article, thanks. Nick says the standard "I want someone with speed to help me guage my speed"...well, that strikes me a bullcrap. I think if (when) Nicky discovers that Kubeetza is faster it will destroy his career. After all, there's mega-quick Vettel waiting in the wings.......

The thing is like ive said before, I/We will know for certain at the end of the season who is better, but in the meantime, although there is no doubt Kubeeetza is more exciting to watch than Heidfeld (as Montoya was more exciting than Raikkonen), It doesnt mean he is a better driver.

The fact that the Pol is rated in Jem's ITV poll as the 4th best driver of 2006 shows how over rated at this stage of his career he is. Lets see!

i think i'll be laughing when Kubica shows he's nothing special. All this hype over nothing. I think Heidfeld is a very good driver, very consistent and fast, I've yet to see any reason why Kubica should outscore him in 2007
