He has done quite well in the past I suppose but always with the best car on the day.

I'd say Trulli has the edge on him.

noway, he had good years at jordan, getting the better of Damon Hill for much of the first half of the season, had an incredible 1999 scoring all of williams' points, had a strong 2000 getting a few podiums and ensuring Williams got 3rd in the title race, beat JPM in 01, had some dominant wins in 01, 02 and 03, admittedly JPM was better in the latter years, but I think JPM is amazing, and he's had some great drives at toyota too. He's not first class but he's had a couple of podiums for toyota and doesnt get much credit for it. Plus its probably not nice living in his big brother's shadow

yes but just wondering who you feel deserves more recognition/praise than they get. Everyone raves about alonso and raikkonen but not many give Nick Heidfeld the credit that he deserves; he's outclassed Webber and JV the last 2 years and yet for some inexplicable reason people think he's going to get beaten by kubica next year

No one raves about Nick because compared to the bench mark duo of Fernando and Kimi, he is nothing special. Of course, compared to us mere mortals and amateur pedallers he is mighty but hardly worth comparing to the greats.

I do not think that the consensus about Kubica beating him next year is inexplicable. I think that there are sufficient grounds to substantiate that it will happen. Kubica has burst onto the scene and has raised a few eyebrows. He has the potential to be a star.

I'm a fan of the Pole, and I'm one of the people that think he can really give NH a much needed hurry on this year.

Kubica was fast, really fast during testing too. N.H. used to be under rated, but not these days, he gets the recognition he deserves, not much, not less!

People say Kubica gave Nick a 'wake-up call' etc, but Nick wasnt exactly going slowly in the first place, he was a consistent points-scorer in 2006 and was outpacing JV most of the time. It will be an interesting battle but I wont believe the hype until i see consistent strong drives and actually outscoring Heidfeld, and I really cant see that happening, Nick is very reliable. He doesnt have storming drives thru the field (like JB!!) but he's always there in the mid-to-lower points positions
