SHINING THROUGH THE RAIN

The rain on Saturday morning at Monaco gave us a rare chance to witness what those with lesser machinery can do when the playing field levels out a bit.

Adrian Sutil not only excelled, but he whipped the entire field. Mark Hughes explains why the young German is no one-hit wonder.

I dont think Sutil could shine in that Spyker car. Give him a better car, and maybe he will start to show how good he is. I think he will be in Toyota in 2008, in fact I wouldn't be surprise if he replaces ralf before the current season ends considering how poor Ralf's performance have been lately.

I am not sure. I remembered in the past we've seen drivers being replaced in mid season even though they still have a contract. Villeneuve being replaced by Kubica in BMW for example. So I thought it could be done. I am just speculating.

I know! It's not been the bets start for Sutil's F1 career! The same with Kovvy but he's going fine now but Sutil still needs more experience in an F1 car!

The good thing is, he's crashing about in a Spyker, but showing good speed. So next year, when he's driving for Red Bull/Toyota/whoever, he wont be crashing but will still have that speed.

But we've had enough of 1 fast German, we dont need another!

True. In 2004 it was M Schumi, last season it was Rosberg but it could'nt possibly be Sutil this season! Like u said, he could be the fast German driver next season!

I know that! Williams seen to be a fair bit slower than last season but it was a great season for Rosberg setting lap times a fast as Schumi & Alonso! Well, mostly at the start of the season!

Seriously, maybe he is a very talented drver...but so far has failed to impress me even considering he is driving a Spuker.

There are actually similarities between Sutil & Ralf - Ralf was fast in his debut year but kept making mistakes and crashing. Much like Sutil. In Ralf's second season he calmed down a lot and gave Damon Hill a run for his money. Dont forget Sutil is trying to drive a heap of crap on wheels, so lets cut him some slack!
