Ok,before u start insulting drivers,Heidfield ism't that much better without TC,so I tink u might be very supprised... Insulting is nob,and u can't deney that Kubica is a good driver,k? Remember Heidfield when he started,in Souber? He wasn't much btter then Kubica, and look at him now... See my point? :eusa_think:

I agree with your point. And by all means , get into ANY argument here you want. ALL opinions are welcome and don't let SOME people intimidate you only because they don't like YOUR opinions... :nono1:

Before Kubica entered F1 less than 300,000 ppl have been watching f1. After that the audience increased to over 2 million. But those extra 1.8 million have no real interest in racing whatsoever, only thing they can do really well is coming up with those insane theories. You should see the discussion that started after gp canada - it was just hilarious. The truth is that racing in poland is as dead as Elvis Presley and that's why Kubica had to move to italy and later after success in karting and lower formulas still couldn't get any sponsorship from Poland.

Well, I was born in Poland and lived there until 1980. I watched F1 since 1973. I followed World Rally since about the same time. The interest comes and goes, but it's never "dead." In any country the interest in sport increases if a "native" does well. I agree that some theories are funny/stupid. But, just the same, some truth about relations withn BMW remains. Robert IS the only non-German driver at BMW. JV came in because, according to Theissen, he "was the best driver for that price." And I read the post-Montreal discussion too. But you need to yhrow away the most insane (but loud) statements, and see what the majority says.

Nick's been lucky while comparing with Kubica's luck. Here is a list what went wrong with RK's car in Bahrain alone:

1) no radio

2) front wing without few elements after first corner collision (by "luck" with Heidfeld)

3) puncture on lap 10

4) broken device that serves water

5) gearbox problem which made him to brake 40 meters earlier then necessary and loose about 3s per lap due to locking of rear wheels (eventually it ended in spin in last part of race)

6) bad strategy in Q3

The first 3 races were a complete waste of time due to car/chief engineer trouble. Let's add 2 colissions with Heidfeld (the first one could be considered bad luck/racing, the second one was just dirty-I did not see Hamilton ramming Alonso in the last race under identical circumstances).

As to the now-favorite TC quote, RK said he likes to have anything that let's him drive as fast as possible. He DID NOT say he "needs" TC. Oh, BTW, his use of TC stems from his agressive driving style. As with the tires, he simply will adapt to driving without TC.

All Heidfeld had to do all year is to bring home a flowlessly performing car. Oh, and other than ramming other drivers, Heidfeld was likely the most boring driver of the year. I believe he had to pass somebody what, 3 times this year??? And that shows his skill how?

Remember THIS IS ABOUT RK's TROUBLE WITH HIS CAR!

Are you all denying that RK has had an ASTOUNDING number of problems with his car as compared to Heidfeld's? Are you claiming that the problems listed in this forum did not exist? Are you denying that in the first 3 races that Kubica retired from this year he was WELL ahead and way faster than Heidfeld? Where you watching NASCAR instead??? :eusa_think:

It's incredible how much you can lie. :o

In bahrain,Kubica had no problme with his radio, it was at Sepanh and it was his fault, he pushed the wrong bottom. :D

he had no problem with his front wing, it was at sepang again where he touch heidfeld in a stupid move of his part.

No puncture also.

You are inventing everything.

For the TC? you will see, a guy like him will suffer. he need a lot of grip and TC, without he will suck. Like this year with the bridgestone.

Also, you said that Heidfeld passed only 3 drivers this years but in the 3 drivers there was alonso. Kubica never did it. at spa, he overtake few cars who were heavier, that's all.

and again, you lie when you say that kubicaca was well ahead oh nick the 3 first races. Stop lying and watch the race and try to understand what you watch.

Sry,I don't watch closely Heidfield,he does'nt seem interesting to me... About comparin Sauber and BMW,it is'n bout the car Katey,it's bout they both didn't had experience.. And this is Kubica 2nd seson,as it was Heidfield,I think,in Soubernot Prost.. Key? We'll just have to see how will Kubica drive at age in F1 as Heidfield now.. I reckon he will be better... Not that Heidfield is bad,but sry,he ain't anything special-- Fro Kubica,I'm not so sure.. That's my opinion... :clap3::blush:

What do u mean by its not about the car?! If Lewis debuted at Spyker, he wouldn't be running for WDC... That just remembers me of Nels not wanting to debut in a small team. He knows he wouldn't catch media's attention in it. Not having experience is a fact but the car they drive in their first seasons definately affects their results in the champ table, and surely affects media's behaviour to them. Even when he was on Prost, Nick beat Alesi, who was way more experienced. Even in his first Sauber season he managed to get a podium and outpace Kimi (who later would have the chance of his life at McLaren and even though didn't become WDC). Nick only came to have a decent car in 2005, and that's when he had 3 podiums in a row. Maybe he's not 'anything special' to you, and I'm don't want to / not gonna even try to change it, but it's also about how much you know about him.

I didn't mean interest but racing itself. There is only one track, one "touring" car cup (although it's kinda "city car" cause the car itself is KIA PICANTO) and Polish Track Racing Championship which is pretty fun if you like to watch few GT racing cars competing with for example stock renault clio.

There is very little media interest in racing and so it's very hard to get any kind of sponsorship and impossible to achieve something big in racing while living in poland.

I hope that it will all change thanks to RK but for now I really doubt it.

You know, I'm getting REALLY fed up with you accusing me of lying. Ok, I made a mistake with Bahrain. That does not make me a liar. It makes me inaccurate. Since lying is a national passtime of the Frenchies (that and surrendering to anybody who wants to listen), I think it's you who may have the credibility problem. The fact that you disagree with my opinion in the cult of the blond-bearded Kraut does not give you ANY right to call me a liar. From now on the first time you call me a liar I will consider this a personal attack. And budd-y, you absolutely have NO CHANCE with me when it comes to personal attacks (not to be confused with sarcasm-I have NOT made a single personal attack yet - although some may think I did). So shut-the-eff-up, sit the-eff-up and be a good little boy. I could say a lot more, but I'll reserve that for later-if I have to.

oops, sorry, I misunderstood. Yeah, in my times the only reason media were interested in racing was to promote the achievemnts of socialism. Imagine Fiat 125p competing in the Monte Carlo or Safari rally! Ge, Sobek Zasada had to go to the US and get Ford sponsorship to race. Jaroszewicz needed his Daddy's money (Prime minister at that time) to get Lancia Startos (which he regularly wrecked). So much more kudos to RK that he managed to get through and actually did fulfilled his dream. Oh, that reminds me - isn't Orlen the biggest rally sponsor out there ? And doesn't Ronert own a team that includes his potential future brother in law (Witas)?

Excuse me but how on earth did heidfeld do a better job than Alesi in the year 2000?

they both scored no points with both scoring a Season's best of 8th.

Alesi drove in 1 absolute spectacular race at Spa abielt with luck on his side for a while before it came to naught for the french sicilian.

But Jean drove in another scorchin weekend at Monaco, where he put the Prost in 7th on the grid whilst Heidfeld was back into 18th on the grid and Heidfeld won around there back in f3000 the previous year? or 2 years?

The only time when Heidfeld shined was in France when he tipped Jean into a spin whilst Heidfeld was trying to pass Giancarlo Fisichella, then the team tried to blame Fisichella for it.

funny world formula one!!!

u mean these races?

"Luckier at Spa, Nick had the 16th time, but this wouldn't last long. In the following FP, both Prost cars were in the two last positions. It got better when he was 10th in FP3 and 13th in FP4, and even better when he outqualified his teammate again, being 14th, while Alesi was 17th. 15th in the warm up, Nick had to retire of the race on lap 12, when he had an engine failure. his teammate also didn't finish that race."

"Nick was back on track for Monaco GP, where he got only the 18th time in FP1, and the 21st in FP2. In this last session of the day, Nick had an incident at the La Rascasse. It wasn't a good weekend, and Nick got bad times in FP3, qualifying and warm up as well (20th, 18th and 21st respectively), but only 8 drivers managed to finish that race, being Nick one of them, achieving his best result ever, at 8th. "

"Nick was 17th in the warm up, and finished 12th in the race, ahead of his teammate, despite the fact he had to make an extra pit stop to refuel his pneumatic valve system. That would be also the first time Nick and Jean collided in track: He had a fair fight with him and was overtaken in the first corner, and later tried to out-break Fisichella in the hairpin, breaking a little bit too late and touching his teammate, whose car spun.

After the french GP, FIA published for the first time the championship official chart, and Nick's teammate, Alesi, was the last in th list, being Nick the 18th. *"

Plus u forgot to mention this:

"At Austria, Nick had the 19th time in FP1, and improved for the second session, when he had the 13th time. He had 17th time in FP3, and was 13th in qualifying, his best ever grid position, out-qualifing Alesi in 17th. In the warm up, Nick was 14th, but that wouldn't be a race to make Prost happy. Nick and Alesi collided again on the race, when Alesi drivo into Nick's car on lap 43. Alesi blamed the incident on his team's poor communication saying they should have told Heidfeld to let him through because the German had a full fuel load on board and was therefore slower. Nick was in 8th position when the incident happened, and had made his one and only pitstop of the race."

* now let's go to the final results:

20 Heidfeld 9 Ret Ret Ret 16 EX 8 Ret 12 Ret Ret Ret Ret Ret 9 Ret Ret 0

22 Alesi Ret Ret Ret 10 Ret 9 Ret Ret 14 Ret Ret Ret Ret 12 Ret Ret 11 0

I call it outpacing, sorry.

Thats amazing, I thought that I had a pretty good resuts brain but you annhilated me just then.

I cant believe that you knew all the free practice times as well.

But Free practice dosen't count for anything really because you don't really know what fuel loads that they were carrying, and what stragerities that they were trying out for the race so yeah

as well as that Well I think that Alesi out drove Heidfeld in 2000, how many laps did Heidfeld run in the points for?no laps thats right.

Alesi?23 laps at Spa, and how many times did Heidfeld fight with a ferrari for Position? 1 corner at Hockenheim with Rubens.

How many did Jean Alesi?25 Laps with Rubens again at Monaco, in a car that eventually guided Rubens 4th in the Championship and Ferrari the constructors, and Michael Schumacher the drivers championship of the year 2000.

So when both cars were on track Jean did show Nick the way in 2000. Make no bones about it.

May I ask another question?

How long have you been following F1 for and in that whole time that you have been a fan of Heidfeld?

and what Attracts you to Heidfeld?

I just posted Fps because I was lazy to cut them out :) It's all a research for a further Nick bio :)

Since Senna watching F1, Nick fan since 2002 :)

Nick had everything against him that could make him give up and he didn't, because he knows he's talented enough to win that thing. Just like in every other series he competed, he just left when he became champion. :) Plus, he's a really nice guy and very determinated. :)

I remember though that RK himself took part in Rally Barburka before he entered f1. He was pretty confused by a handbrake and refused to go sideways but still finished a strong 7th.

btw. In bahrain the only thing that was wrong with RK car was fuel tank flap that stayed opened from start to finish. Mark Webber had the same problem and both of them were outpaced by teammates because of that.

Well,Heidfield didn' do so much better then Alesi, but still.. In this season I've seen heifield drives very carefuly, oposit of Kubica.. Someone said,BMW is too slow for Mclaren and Ferrari and too fast for renault.. So,u can't say he has done amazing job.. Ok,i think he is a really good driver,no doubt about it,but Kubica did better then him in his first 2 seasons, not mantioning I cheer for Sauber, really good car.. And think he stayinf in the BMW for one more season is the good for him,he'll get the edge he needs to be superbed driver in Mclaren, maybee even be the World Cham... PS- i bought BMW Heidfield t-shirt today,it's awsom..

i don't think that would help m changing yr mind haha

actually as i said bfore it's a 'plus'. i don't support a driver if he's just good looking and I don't consider him talented. goes for scott speed (sorry eric, i like him a lot, but he's not my kind of driver on track), or nels (sorry the other nick fan here that loves him and i dunno the name now).

Nelsinho? :nono1::P

This is all upside down, the brazilian girl doesn't support any of the brazilian drivers and the argentinian guy supports 2 out of 3 (Rubens and Nelsinho).

For the rest of the world: Brazil and Argentina have one of the fiercest rivalries in sports.

I don't have anything against argentinians :) I actually like them a lot.

Plus, I don't like Nels because i don't think he's talented, and he always sounds so arrogant to me. Actually to everyone here, no onw likes him, as I've said bfore. I like Rubens, and I really wanted things to work for him, even if he's not my fave driver, but he just has no chances at his actual position.

And as I always say, Nels is NOT brazilian! From wiki: Nelson Angelo Piquet (born July 25, 1985, Heidelberg, Germany)

Well, didn't Webber's rear wing just blew out because of the wrong aerodynamic flow due to the flap?

Yeah, I confused Sepang with Bahrain. So many things went wrong in Sepang, that Bahrain looked awesome when "only" the fuel flap got stuck.

Kubica's girlfriend's brother (last name Witas, I think his first name is Krzysztof) drives a rally car owned by Robert. Hey, I got hooked on rallying by watching Sobek Zasada (yeah, the same millionaire who now owns the Mercedes dealership empire) driving in Karkonoski Rally in 1973.
