WHY U ASK SAME QUESTION EVERY YEAR, JAY?

It's a bloody inconvenience... they should bend over backwards, not us!!!!

and I almost forgot about free practise this morning, thats reason enough!!!!!!

Seeing Fernando blatting around the Principality this morning, dancing on a knife edge, displaying mesmerising car control.....it reminded me of watching Michael in Spain '96 and deciding I was a fan of him above all others.

It also made me wonder just how bad that Ferrari (and Massa) really is....

I was up at 7:40...practice was on at 4:00...damn.

I have forgotten why you would miss races when it's very convenient for us, well for 90% of the races...

now this just oozes coolness

How dare he use the name James in vain. I'll tell you that the name "James" is only allocated to the coolest people around. James Dean, James Hunt, James Bond, and me, evidently. :P

WHERE ARE YOUR SIX TENTHS NOW?!

To paraphrase something you said not so long ago "because a wet session tells us a lot, doesn't it?" :P

Grosjean. I told you. I flaming well told you this'd be Grosjean's weekend! Ahahaha! Okay, it's early at the moment, but point proven so far.

Yeah, when I think cool, I think James Allen...

I didn't even know it was wet. Even better. WHERE'S YOUR MASSA SUCKS IN THE WET NOW?! :P

They're after 01:16.

 True.

Well the first two practices give us a pretty clear idea on how will the weekend develop with an almost certain dominance of F1 cars during race. Probably one with a driver inside. I think it will be likely that a car will cross the line first and be declared winner. Or not.

My 2 cents.

You didn't see that Massa went off then, whereas Alonso didn't? :P

No...only FP1 is shown online in the U.S....FP2 is on TV so I can't watch it. :P

I'm assuming Massa broke something (like my heart)? Seems hard to have an off at Monaco without hitting something. Seems hard to be Felipe Massa in general without hitting something.

It was particularly slippery at the corner after Casino Square (can't recall what it is called now, I'm a bad F1 fan, I know) - quite a lot of people went off there including both Williams cars, Perez, Kovalainen and Massa. No-one hit anything and all except Kovalainen (who had a problem with reverse gear) rejoined.

Mirabeau? I would have thought that St.Devote would be the place where everybody had a moment as it is the usual place (the corner after the start finish straight.

Unless it's an oval track with the corner names "Turn 1, Turn 2, Turn 3, and Turn 4," don't expect me to ever know where on the track you're talking about.

I learnt more turn's names when I got addicted to F1 games than watching the actual races. Sometimes it was like having a stressful weekend. Being the driver sometimes, the engineer some others, the tea boy...

Yes! Thank you for that. Eric - just before the really slow corner....oh wait, they're pretty much all slow in F1 terms!

Latest weather predictions. Packed an umbrella George and Sean?

As far as the locals are concerned, there is a huge storm front moving in. My bet is a wet quail and possible a wet race too.

Interesting. Watching BBC's coverage of practice today everyone talked of a wet quali session, but it seems a lot of people still expect it to be dry for the race.

A lottery of a race in a lottery of a season means this will be a predictable race? I'm confused now.

Bet on a wet T-shirt contest for the pit babes too.

Anyone know who were strong during the wet today (Thursday)?
