This place is what we call "El Malecon" is one of the most impotant avenue of the country it is called George Washington ave and there is were we have all parades and carnival, it is call the biggest discotec of America in that avenue you can find the better hotels of the capital and it has a lot of history too.

Look at the stray dog that's very common in my country and the guy selling platain they are very noisy always shouting so the people can hear they are going by, people playing dominoes outside of a colmado(bodega or grocery store) you can see in the wall that says Banca Loteria, that is lotttery they sell both legal and illegal kind of lottery.

It looks like Jaime bought some lottery tickets too.

It is, Dominican Republic is a great country for tourism with beautiful beaches with yaniqueques eating girls(do you remember that pictures?) the tallest mountains in the caribbean and also the biggest lake which is three times saltier than the sea and crocodile live in it, the country is surrounded by resorts with everything you need.

The weather is usually great, I remember that I used to wake up early just to watch the clouds like in picture #5 turning orangish by the sun it was a great show, I had that treat almost every morning sometimes it was too cloudy or there were no clouds at all but most to the time the sky was dressed with those beautiful colors in the evening we get the same colorful sky but for some reason I used to enjoy the morming show at little bit more, that is speacially great when you are in the country surrounded by mountain and drinking the fisrt coffee of the day, I missed that a lot.

Now let me tell you why I named this thread "I can't believe it" the reason is that I've been in USA for almost 5 years, I thougt that coming here it would be like moving to another planet or something like that, I thought I would be able to go to many races including F1 or Indycar and many other things, but that has not been the case, before coming here I never thought about how big this country really is and how difficult is to go to all those events becuase of the distance, you not only have to buy the ticket for the event, you have to cover you travel expenses including hotels insome case.

The thing is that had I stayed in my country I would probably have seen that event and would at least seen a real formula 1 driven by a real formula 1 driver but so far I haven't seen no F1 here in USA not even an static one, I have a friend who enjoy all these thing and he always send me an email whenever he gets to see something first than me, he even had the chance to go to an airshow with planes like F-16 fisrt than me, I never liked the idea of coming to USA and things like this always make me wonder if I made the right desicion or not.

You are absolutelly right USA have a lot of good things that would not be able to find in my country, the quality of life economically speaking is a lot better, I can give a better education to my kids here, basically that's the main reason why I came here, actually if i do a list of the good things of both places USA will win, but I left my mother, sisters and many relative and friends over there I so far I haven't been able to go back but I plan to go next year, I miss my friends and family and the good time we used to have over there, I guess it is like someone said to me "you can't have it all" I traded many good things for many other good things, I guess the way to go would be a good balance of both, sometimes some members of my family comes to USA and I get very sad when they leave, I feel like a part of me is leaving with them, some people say that I'll be feeling like that until I go back for the first time, they say that will be the moment when I will realize how good it is for me to be living here in USA.

I used to live in Texas, Tommy. Had a great time there - do visit if you get a chance. America is the greatest country on earth - at least that's what they told me when I was in kindergarten there. But seriously, it's a good place to live and I think your kids will be very happy there.

They are very happy already, they enjoy school a lot, today we are going to the Orioles' game they got 4 tickets for the game including transport and food, they school gave them to them and next month will be visiting the Aquarium with tickets provide to them for the school too, now they both will be in the Gift and Talented program for math and reading, last weekend my son won went to a camp day from church and he won a first and a third place in two of the six competition that he participated, so like I ssaid there are many good things here in USA, they relaly motivate the kids to study with all these programs.

Why can't you? there are many cheap trips to my country and you'll be there in a great resort like the ones in Punta Cana where you can find beaches a lot more beautyful than this of those pictures, I recommend this Resort because it was the best one when I was there, I don't know if it is still the best one but take a look a those picures and let me knw what you think, let me fisrt give you the warning that you'll find picture more beautiful than the ones you already saw.

Definitelly you gotta love it, just look at that picture with all that sand flying around the car, I guess that is a test for Bahrain 2011 I would thought the sand would cause some damage to the car, I don't know if that show was first than the one on the street but the later could not be finished because of a transmission problem but nontheless the show was great.
