Heidfeld scores maiden pole in front of homecrowd while Webber is down in third, 0.290 away.

I'm really happy.Nick has scored the best result of the team so far, and this is very important cause both drivers had never scored a pole before in their career so this is a big boost for Nick in the hunt for a leading position inside the team...and is also a big blow for the ultra-overrated Webber.

Webber was on a 2 stopper and heavier on fuel. If webber made it past the 1st corner he would have been in a much better position than Nick.

Which suggests that marks p3 was just a impressive as nick's p1.

The only reason Nick didn't suffer the same fate as webber in the first corner was because webber's car was swapped by the Mclaren and the toyota. Kimi in a heavier car, blow nick away at the start and it was only because webber acted as a road block that nick was saved.

The race clearly demostrated that the williams has big cluch problems.

But hey that's all webber's fault!!

webber had 6 laps more fuel than heid-di-hiedfeld! That isnt a massive difference, so nick did do a good lap!

Webber as i have said so many times is a mediocre racer but a rather brilliant qualifier, but good qualifying is only useful if you can actually race!
