Kimi Or Juan In 2006?

Recommended Posts

i think it is going to be juan pablo who gets the better of kimi now that the car is sorted out to his drving style and all the fractures healed .he showed what he can do towards the end of the year .winning races at will.another thing is mclaren i feel wontrun at the top ferrari will be on top or in second place .

KR and JPM are very equal-speed drivers.

Luck maybe the key factor in 2006.

And spring may just show who will be better for summer,

and summer who is better for autumn...

If JPM stays, and KR leaves, McLaren better bet on JPM, to have # 1 on the nose in 2007.

luck wont have anything to do with it. KR will have the better year, you wouldnt see RB do better than MS even if it ment "accidently" droping a nut in the engine of RB

teams say there are no team orders but i think we all know that atleast in the top 3 or 4 there are

Raikkonen will beat JPM, but he won't have it as easy as he had it this year.

it does take 1 year to get use to a team, in 2002 dc easyily beat kimi, and in 2004, kimi beat dc.

When he so nearly scored double the points of his Columbian team-mate! Of course JPM missed a few Grand Prix (because of his self-inflicted injury) but Kimi

It'll be close but JPM will have the edge on kimi

Kimi has been driving a McLaren for years that's a big advantage and this was JPM's first year at the wheel of a McLaren he was adapting

If Kimi is focussed... don't expect a competition between Montoya and Kimi. Montoya will be nowhere.

JPM is capable of beating kimi and everyone else, we saw it a few times this year. But he doesnt do it often enough

When he drives like he can do, he's brilliant and kimi cant match him. I'm expecting him to do that more often in 2006 and challenge for the title (if the car is up to it). The problem is kimi is also very fast and is consistently very fast every single race! So I think kimi will have more points at the end, and should be world champion

That's the point, I think. He's fast sometimes. That's not enough.

Exactly so. JPM perhaps (marginally) beat Kimi a couple of times this season. Kimi beat JPM roughly 16 times!

So did you really expect someone new to team beat Kimi right away?

I don't think Juan Pablo will get the better of Kimi on many occasions at all. Even after a year settling in. He's just not as complete a driver as his team mate.

True JPM is just too inconsistent, and that's not the way you become WDC.

Why on earth are you even asking this question? Kimi because Juan is rubbish.

To say JPM is rubbish is not insulting to him but to yourself. Get serious, pal.

Only on this forum do I see JPM getting slated so much. He's a top f1 driver and none of us can deny that. When the williams was up to it in 01/02/03 he had some great fights with MS and is a true racer, never giving up and always willing to make a move. He has the speed to outrace kimi but he doesnt find that speed every single race like kimi does. He's my fave driver after Button and I expect JPM to be pushing kimi all the way next year!
