Speed Loses Point And Slams DC

Recommended Posts

That's just it, If given a better car by Ferrari, Schumi can do it. RB2 is based off RB1, which was the Jaguar R6 more or less.

Swamp donkey, SS should go cut his teeth in the outlaws series

Everyone is now aiming fire at Speed for having been "outrqageous" against veteran DC will shut up by the end of season when the American will go on holiday with points in his bag and a good F.1 seat for 2007 and DC will go on holiday forever!!!!

DC is more successful than Speed will ever be. Unlike Speed DC got into formula 1 for his ability while Speed only got into formula 1 because he comes from America.

I don't know where all of these Scott Speed fans showed up. *Me giggles at the very notion of the word "fan" being connected with Scott Speed*

Some of the anti-Coultard comments expressed by some here range from outrageous to just plain idiodic. DC is one of the most solid, most consistent racers on the grid. DC is a man who has been able to attract top teams with his driving ability throughout his lon career. Is he getting up there in age? Sure he definatley is. Does he still have the abilities he's demonstrated in the past? I think so. Case in point his solid season at Red Bull last year. I'll eat my words in a couple of months if he morphs into Yuji Ide, but I doubt it and I think he'll give Red Bull a nice amount of points provided the car is up to shape.

Very well said. DC is a driver that people like on Dennis and Frank Williams respect and from what ive heard that is hard to get. DC has been a solid driver throughout his career and makes reletively few mistakes compared to most formula 1 drivers.

'I Won't Take S*** From No One'

All is still not well between two members of Red Bull's formula one clan.

Scott Speed and David Coulthard exchanged profanities and nearly fists in Melbourne, as stewards handed Californian and Toro Rosso rookie Speed's debut F1 point to veteran Coulthard, who drives for Red Bull Racing.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, 23-year-old Speed - the first American in F1 since 1993 who returned to the States after Australia - is in no mood to forgive and forget.

He admitted telling DC, 34, to 'f**k off', but reckons the winner of 13 grands prix then 'started being a bit physical.

''(Coulthard) was very disrespectful toward me.

''As it is right now, there's certainly a lot of tension between us,'' Scott Speed said.

Anyone who has personally interviewed Speed will attest to his caustic personality, but he reckons the stewards favoured Coulthard's testimony because he has driven in 194 more GPs.

He wondered: ''Who's going to believe what I say?''

In a press conference, Speed insisted that even the $5000 fine for swearing will not silence him in the future.

''I won't take sh*t from no one,'' he added. www.paddaltalk.com article

Well, good luck to him, did he expect DC to just take the 'f**k off' comment with good mannered behaviour?Certainly one of the most arrogant and disillusioned rookies in recent F1 history.

Too right!

Good news, justice has prevailed. Speed was correctly penalised for overtaking under yellows but people seem to be ignoring the V10 issue. Clearly, the V10 is better than the V8 i.e. it has better torque and greater reliability. TR should not have the same concessions as Minardi. They should be banned.

Minardi were under contract to use V10 this year and as TR are basically minardi with a new name and last yrs Red Bull the contract is still binding, as MS said he doesnt think the advantage of the V10 is that great anyway its just some of the manufacturer teams ie FERRARI arent fast enuff at the mo

This is great.

No, but you'd expect DC to give a little verbal back instead of going physical. I don't see how Scott is being arrogant, sure he's abig of a maverick (which I think is a good thing, but that's just my opinion), but he's not going around saying 'I'm gonna whip so and so' or 'I'm going do this and that and win everything'.

He told someone to 'F Off', and if that is arrogant, then I guess pretty much all of us are arrogant twats then. Scott was sticking to his guns and standing up for himself instead of being walked all over by DC. It's good to see he's got a backbone and isn't afraid of a little confrontation, on or off the track.
