Button Fans Gutted, Webbo Fans Rejoicing

Recommended Posts

Guys, PLEASE, don't be so mislead, Kimi was held up twice during his last 2 laps, ole Weber is pretty lucky to be sitting 3rd.

Interesting how the people who held him up aren't being penalised isn't it.... <_< I suppose the ruling only counts if its FA you're holding up perhaps...

Interesting how Webber kept up with the superstars of F1 until his car couldn't keep up with him.

Webbers cars blows up again when he's in a good position (potential podium) in a grand prix. Great performance an he definitely deserves some luck soon.

I hear Toyota is not really wanting to give Sir Frank those 'Lexus' lumps...with a dependable engine, Williams will most certainly beat the works team, no?

Webbo is certainly proving his worth. Williams would be foolish to let him go.

Not really, I thnk he had a chance to win it, if he had the fuel to go longer as suspected. Would also have helped if Fisi didn't hold him up for 5 laps.... God I hate Fisi....

The feeling is mutual, I dislike Webber ;) He could have won it on some luck, probably the closest they've come, but then they pushed the limits of the car too far, so effectively, a few points instead of this wont have been too bad. Two mechanical failures is just awful.

That sums it up 100%.

Brilliant weekend from Webber and Williams, he has Monaco sorted that's for sure. :clap3:

Sadly Cosworth are looking more and more like they are buggering up their greatest opportunity. :(

Please Honda supply Williams!!!

I'm afraid if he's on form he'll drop like a rock. He's never shown me that he can take advantage of such a good spot on the grid..

Well, he most certainly didnt drop like a rock. He lost one position but shortly before he retired he was challenging for 2nd.

I was wrong and I'll give him props for his run, he only made one mistake..............and in the end it didn't matter.

I don't think the blame lies solely at Cosworth's door, don't Williams sort out the exhausts?

True, Williams do look after the exhast systems on the cars. I hadn't read that it was a cracked exhaust at that stage. My apoligies to Cosworth. :D

Two thumbs up to Webber. One of his finest weekends and probably his best race ever. A podium was guaranteed whilst I think he could have had at least a shot at victory if not for the lack of blue flags prior to his retirement. All that on a heavy fuel load too!!!

yeah Kimi took the chance and came off best, but I have to say for all those people out there that DOUBT Webbers ability to drive, he did ALL that could have been asked of him by the team. with a car that at most circuits is not up to the caliber of the others. When I saw him undo his seat belt I let out a very loud F(*&^$$%^&**((K that woke up the missus LOL

In my eyes he proved that he is of the caliber of the best drivers in the field without a doubt.

Unlike poor Mr Jensen. Whatholdsyourshirttogether.. what a dismal performance to say the least and to be so convinceingly outdriven by his Team mate <_<

I wouldn't write off Cosworth yet. They have too long of a history at the top to be the underdogs for long. I predict that Cosworth will be tops next year if Williams stay with them

I understand it was a cracked header and Williams builds those..................

their engine cost over 100mil to build, massive spenditure, same as Mclaren.... and yet Renault with their 20 mil budget produce a remarkable reliable and fast engine.... and guess whose engine's blew up.....

Yep, I've followed his career closely and he gained my support a few years ago, but now it has doubled.

For the first time I find myself supporting him more than Button, and not just because of the attitudes.

Why's everyone going overboard, when he blew it in the first few laps, and got passed by Raikkonen. He drove well before and after that, but that's not the kind of mistake you make in your 'best race ever'.

I guess he is just HUMAN :clap3: at least M.W. admitted that he went into that corner a bit "HOT" and gave away the position but you have to admit not too many drivers other then Kimi would have made him suffer for the mistake.

unlike that clap trap cheat M.S.

Lol yes Button was dismal to say the least but can you please stop fiucking taking it on him, they all have bad races every now and again so dont take it out on him please, you can critisize im but dont write him off as a Sh#t driver, you as f1 fans should know better because nearly every driver has had a bad race. Like brundle said, it was his worst performance in at least 4 yrs!

The jenson-bashers use all kind of ways to try and attack JB - so when JB does actually perform badly, for the first time in a very long time, they attack with full force. I choose to ignore the ridiculous comments. Its only 1 race

Yea he did do crap, I won't deny that, its his worst race that I can remember!! But people are saying he's rubbish and barrichello is suddenly a much better driver bla bla, without good reason

Button is still the better driver, Barrichello didn't do much either, and blew a podium by getting a pit lane speeding penalty.
