Mid-west American accent. I hooked up with a girl from Chicago in Florence and I can still hear that "Oh my gawwwd!" ringing through my ears ;)

i love the South African, NZ & Scottish accents

 SA accent is the most ridiculous in the world!!!!

I don't like any accents except English, although French accent on girls is quite sexy.

Most ridiculous accents are Australian (YOU PRONOUNCE IT 'AY' NOT 'I' ITS NOT DIFFICULT) and Welsh.

I dont like posh English, as used by Harry Potter characters and the royal family

The Australian accent is one of the most universal accents in the world. It is a conbination of English, Irish and just about every other European country. I am very proud of my accent as it is part of who i am.

Clarkson has said some funny things about Australia before including implying that we are a 3rd World Country. I also remember when Top Gear were reviewing the Monaro they had the score of the Rugby World Cup Final on its number plate.

Rural Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, West Virginia, and North and South Carolina guuurls drive me crazy.

Worst are definetley the Canadian and Irish accents. Impossible for me to take them seriously as they sound like they are off their faces.

Why thank you luv ;)

though obviously us Irish girls do have the best :king:

I gotta agree with this too... I find myself watching Sky news weather with that Irish Lass, only to find afterwards I cant actually remember one single temperature in any city. Its like hypnosis :D

 SA accent is the most ridiculous in the world!!!!

There are several different types of accents depending on first language in SA though...

I agree some are shocking!

Theres the Afrikaans accent (Francois Pienaar/Ernie Else), African (Nelson Mandela), & English one (Allan Donald/Graham Smith/Jodie Sheckter)...

Thankfully Im the latter.

I just wont to ask every non Australian on the forum something. 'How strong is Mark Webber's accent?' I personally cant hear any accent from him or any other normal Australian but i gather that most people find the Australian accent quite strong and harsh.

Webber's fine, though I've been here a while now  You can obviously tell right away that he's Ausie, but there shouldn't be a problem understanding him.

You'll probably go back to India one day and your friends and family will tell you that you have a Australian accent. :D

God forbid

Hasn't happened yet, it's usually people who are not good at speaking english before coming here that pick up accents quickly, my relatives here have been here for 20 years, they still odn't sound Australian. I should be ok :D
