ykickamoocow 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2007 Meantime you can watch some real football and enjoy the America Cup that is paying right now Thats abit mean. The Asian countries standard of football isnt that bad. There are about 3 or 4 teams in the confederation which on their day can beat any team in the world. On another note the people from Singapore really love the EPL. You should have heard the roar from the crowd when Kewell came on in the 2nd half. It was a real rock star reception. ykickamoocow 0 Report post Posted July 21, 2007 WORST SPORTING DAY EVER Rugby Union (Australia vs New Zealand) - Australia was OK for the first half but was poor for the 2nd half. As a result of our loss we also lost the Trinations and Bledisloe Cup AFL (Sydney Swans vs West Coast Eagles) - My team really needed to win to stay in touch with the leaders. We have a great rivalry with West Coast and on paper we should have won but our defence was apsolutely useless. Soccer (Australia vs Japan) - If it didnt say Kuwait next to the referee's name i would sware that he was Japanese. He gave a straight Red to Vince grella when it was bearly a yellow whch meant Australia had to play over 40 minutes a man down. When we finally get to the penalty shootout our big name players like Kewell and Neill completely **** up while our A-League players like Carney and Carle managed to score. As a result of Kewell and Neill's misses we are we are now out of the Asian Cup. The referee was so bias it was ridiculous. He was easily as bad as Graham Poll and that is saying something. He may as well of been wearing a a Japanese uniform. Formula 1 - For some unknown reason Coulthard only qualifies in 20th place. The anger im feeling at the moment goes beyond words

Milligan is a star of the future and while it will be sad to see him leave Sydney FC (my team) i really do think it would be the best for the national team for him to be competing at a higher level. Yeah I think If a player becomes a star in the English league he'll be a star anywhere... It's a difficult league to make in it, look at players like Veron, Shevchenko & Ballack who just cant crack it. Steven Pienaar a superb young South African currently playing in Germany looks as though he's on his way to the premiership, a superb opportunity for any player and his career advancement. Mark Milligan is a player i have got high hopes for. He is a defender (which is a area which Australia is really lacking) and he is only 21 yet he is captain of our under 23's team. Even though he is only 21 he looked solid against Japan who are a decent team in their own right. He was easily the match of Lucas Neill. We have plenty of up and coming midfielders and forwards coming through but i am mainly looking for defenders as since the world cup most of our better defenders have retired. freaky2 1 Report post Posted July 29, 2007 I know, I know. You feel joy and happiness that he is joining the most successful English club of all time! He must feel it, but he must also be a little disappointed as the guy won't be playing much because the great Pepe Reina is already there^^ I want to see if Rafa Benitez can make some use of his new man, Fernando Torres, because he hasn't been playing too great, he just had moments, and not many at that. If anyone can wake him up I think that's Rafa.
Eric 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2007 Okay. This is totally irrelevant. I watched a game on Fox Soccer Channel from like 2006. I concluded that Christiano Ronaldo sucks. Every shot he took was way off target. The end. Please continue talking about whatever it was you were talking about.

Completely agree, can't stand the puff, goes down everytime someone touches him aswell, I think it's hilarious the way some defenders just take him out though

Im not the biggest fan of Ronaldo (and when I see him wearing a Portuguese shirt I want to hammer him with a baseball bat), BUT The guy is an unbelievable player, and was instrumental in United winning the title last season. On a upsetting note for all non Man United fans, who has seen United's new Portuguese winger Nani? This guy is absolutely superb and only 19 years old! Like a left footed Ronaldo! ykickamoocow 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2007 Rhain Davis future of soccer RHAIN Davis went to Manchester in pursuit of his dream. The nine-year-old Australian boy came to the attention of soccer giant Manchester United after his grandfather sent the club DVD footage of him. The Sun newspaper already thinks highly of his prospects, promoting him to the front page, his story read by 10 million people. The story was then detailed inside Britain's biggest selling newspaper on pages normally reserved for serious news -- pages four and five. "Wonder kid Rhain Davis was signed by Manchester United after stunned scouts viewed a DVD featuring his mesmerising skills," it said. By the fifth paragraph, however, the Poms had already begun the groundwork to claim him as their own. "And the good news is that he could one day play for England as he has a UK passport through his mother's side," it said. YouTube footage also cheekily begins with a small biography that claims his nationality is "British". The extraordinary treatment from The Sun is unprecedented for a boy so young. The front page lead hailed Rhain as a new Wayne Rooney, revealing his skills have been posted on YouTube and claiming they had already been seen by more than three million people. The video footage uploaded shows Rhain has already perfected the samba-style stepover, popularised by Man United superstar Christiano Ronaldo, as well as displaying a tight control of the ball almost unheard of in a player so young. Rhain's talents have also spread to clubs beyond Manchester United. Blogger "Derk", on the website of rival club Liverpool, has written: "I have just seen the future of football and his name is Rhain Davis. Watch him on this link. It is as scary as it is brilliant." Three weeks ago news of Rhain's talent began to bubble over in Australia when his move to England was covered in a front page story in Brisbane's Courier Mail. Rhain and his father Mark moved from Brisbane to Cheshire to be near the club's youth academy. His mum, Leah, and brothers Emerson and Reeve will follow soon. http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,2...427-662,00.html Here is the video of him in action ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am going to say this. i am personally going to murder every member of the English national team if they try and take this kid from Australia. I say cap the little bugger now. Send him out in the starting 11 against Argentina in afew months time. Anway if he CAN play for England, surely he can choose between Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland too????? Ryan Giggs could've played for England, but chose to play for Wales instead.
