Cav has brought it to my attention that I'm not doing my job right, well maybe I'm not, but as this an international forum I'll be the first to admit that with all of the different nationalitries involved I might miss something for that I'mm sorry. I think we can all agree that nobody is perfect (present company excepted of course ) but when moderating i think its important to put yourself in the shoes of the person taking the abuse. Obviously some form of insults such as using the words POM or Yank are OK as they arnt offensive terms but there are other words some people have been using that have offended Cavalino so the important question would be How would you feel in Cavallino's shoes? As you said, this is an international forum and i believe sensitivity is required to understand the many readers of totalf1. I believe that was what cav was trying to say, but through the insensitive remarks directed to him and others he could not let it ride, and through his persistance in what he believed, he was banned which i believe is wrong. You can with the comments, which i'm sure will come, reverse your decision and remember to, as it was so elequently put, put yourself in the shoes of the people that are insulted. Autumnpuma 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2007 Bah. I think you do a good job. As I've said before, I see this as a virtual pub with you and the other mods as the bartenders/bouncers. You make your judgment calls and toss someone from the bar when you feel they are getting to be a disruptive drunk. Maybe you'll make a mistake or two, but mostly you won't. You've got enough years and experience with people on you that I trust your judgment in such matters. Maybe I see your point of view better because I'm from the same culture as you............. If you did something you were wrong, if you didn't do something you were wrong, it was just impossible to please the masses. You're doing your best Pump, and at the end of the day its all that can be asked of you. Of course somethings you won't see, or think much of until members bring it up, but when it was something was done about it, so I think your doing a fine job, as are the rest of the mods. We do not get along and I thought I had your character nailed down but this thread goes against that. I feel some respect for you just sprouted, could even call it admiration...
