If you treated members equally, it wouldn't matter in the slightest whether this was an international forum or not. Is it mere coincidence that you chose to make this therad after you banned me, so that for one week all you would get in it is drunken sychophantic ramblings, praise from people who know no better and choose not to know, and some neutral observations. This isn't an apology, the people who deserve an apology aren't here. This is a clever PR stunt, the equivalent of standing on an aircraft carrier in the middle of the ocean and declaring that the was is over and there is democracy in Iraq.

Lets us take the latest incident for example. You are trying to come out smelling of a bed of roses (and succeeding by the look of this thread) when you should be smelling of horse urine.

Jan 15 - the offensive posts are made.

Jan 17 - The queswtion is asked of our mods if anything would be done, if in light of previous decisions, this isn't a punishable offence.

Jan 18 - pumpdoc says nothing would be done, implying that it isn't.

Jan 20 - On the qusetion being asked again, the offensive member in question (still unsanctioned) chips in with some personal threats, and then this:

which is very kindly 'edited by ecapdeville' to shield the member, a commepnt that ykickamoocow called 'completely unacceptable', I will try to find out what it was. Unless I am banned again before I can find out of course.

Jan 22: pumpdoc says 'ignore his idiot ramblings and he will go away', again refusing to take action.

Jan 23: pumpdoc: "Sorry racist is to subjective, it's up to peer pressure to ignore the stupidity"

Again asserting what what apparently a change in policy, since people including me haev been banned for much less in the past

pumpdoc also lies about how he became a mod, claiming that he did not apply and was appointed by the site owner, when in fact he did and was rejected, and then was 'elected' on getting popular support. This has been established here.

Jan 25: ecapdeville locks the thread where those issues were raised, wihout giving a reason as required by forum policy.

A thread asking why that thread was locked is closed, the moderators still refuse to give a reason. (incidentally, yesterday when I argued that closing that thread was indefensible, pumpdoc's only response was 'I wasn't the one who locked it'.

On restarting the discussion in the locked thread in a new thread, that thread is again locked by pumpdoc and I am threatedned with a ban. Still no reason is given for why that discussion was not being allowed.

In the third thread we are informed that the offender was finally given a lifetime ban, and I am given an outright ban for asking the question. Funnily enough I wasn't the only one who wanted the answer, but still quezstioning the mods is now a bannable offence I guess

Or if I take it at face value, if this is a sincere apologies for all the times that you've screwed up - I am very willing to accept it and make peace. If it is accompanied by a resignation that is, the time for making amends is past.

I know that pumpdoc has banned himself once in the recent past, so everyone can just delete his name from the list.

No he did not ban himself. He launched an abusive attack on a member and carried on as if nothing happened. Only when I asked him why he wasn't banned and 'banned' him that he made a thread claiming that he took the action himself. Since you will always take his word over mine, I'll attach proof.

Can no one apologise and have it accepted anymore? Let's stop bringing new stuff to the table. Pump' has made his peace. Drop it.

Is that an indirect reference to me? I couldn't accept the apology even if we for some strange reason pretend that it was in any way aimed at me, because I was banned. Funnily banned for bringing up those mistakes. Rather nice to apologise to someone after you shoot them isn't it, what a wonderful way to make peace

It's a tough job being a mod of this place, I remember when I was it was crazy.

You had it far harder, the mods actually had to be accountable then, and you could actually complain about the mods and be heard. We don't have moderators now, we have supreme rulers. Remember the moderator abuse links, the forum? They all disappeared. You never made a mistake of the magnitude that pumpdoc has made innumerable times. He has it easy, noone can question his decisions, he can ban people as he pleases. Theer is absolutely no popular dissent left either, since only a few people are picked on and then silenced, the people who can actually post have nothing but good things to say.
