Indeed Paul. I have watched this thread with dismay as our best laid plans go awry thanks to the blubbering bald avenger. I think he should take his trip to the atlantic earlier than planned, and perhaps stay out there rather longer than planned too.

Oh and Irish, who is the sexiest F1 driver then? Most of them are midgets and even Schumi's not that tall you know? DC floats my boat btw. Oooh those muscles and veins....

Your first thread was descending into a free-for-all, mean-spirited argument that was going nowhere fast. Ecap closed it on these grounds only after the posters started to fling hostility.

No he didn't, and no it wasn't not any moer than another thread here, the hostility there was far less than that in the Sexuality thread, for example.

You started another thread and Bruce closed it, probably thinking it would also descend into hostility.

Who is he to decide waht might happen? Isn't that the worst kind of moderation possible, open to systemic abuse?

I'm a guest here and Bruce and Ecap are the mods, so I abide by what I observe are the rules, both written and unwritten.

Fair enough, then we see things differently. I have been here a while, I have seen the whole moderation process and the appointment and I suggesetd pumpdoc's name as a mod afetr his initial application was refused. I feel I have a stake here.

You were banned the first time for swearing at another member. I argued that regardless of how that member treated you, it was your own swearing that caused your ban.

The other member swore first, I just copied one of kenneth's posts as an amusing response. I was banned, the person who started the swearing wasn't.

If the other member was not banned, and you were, then I disagree with that decision

, but had you addressed that member with the wit and humour of Quiet One, you would not have been banned. That is a point I cannot get away from.....it is all about personal accountability. First change you, then change the world.

I accepted that decision, and I didn't do anything like that again. I still got banned, so changing myself isn't getting me anywhere, beacuse the mods refuse to change.

I've had a thread locked by Bruce too, you know. Maybe you don't know.....because I accepted the mod's decision on it and carried on, even though I saw nothing wrong with that thread. That's what I feel you should do: move on.

I have moved on before, itj ust means things get worse and worse. The last time I was banned for swearing, this time just for criticizing the mods. What will it be next?

This is my concern, and my opinion. I don't think any mod can be objective, so you must expect mistakes or misinterpretations to happen every so often.

They can be introspective though, if ever in the past year or so that I have been after him he had once shown the willingness to personally admit to his mistakes and say that he will try to make sure that it doesn't happen again, I would have let it rest. How about this, there are two thinsg above where you disagreed with the mods' decision. Add my recent ban to that, if pumpdoc admits that he was wrong in those three instances and apologises, I will let things rest and in turn apologise for any personal remarks I made against him. Then we can see where it goes.

NO. As I have said, Bruce closed one of my threads as well and I just moved on. If that had happened to you, I imagine you would have made a royal fuss about it.

Probably goes baack to where I mentioned how we disagree about what we expect from the forum.

I chose to move on and not involve everyone in it and you chose to create a large issue.

I don't think I had a choice, my pms would get no reply at all, or a one word, it was treated as a big joke. Bringing it out in the open has got more response out of him over those issues than I managed in a whole year. I would have preferred to settle it in private, but that wasn't going anywhere.

Bottom line is this: Be pragmatic.

Well having to put up with this kind of moderation for over an year now is irritating too. I will restrict myself to criticism of decisions from now on and refrain from personal remarks (not that I have ever sunk to the level he has here), but that is all I can promise. As for these two threads, you are free to ignore them.

if you stop the comments on Cav (and his nation) and he continues then its clear for all to see whos at fault - plus its really ****ing tedious!!!!
